Knotgrass (Polygonum aviculare)
Short, usually sprawling, the leaf-bases forming a silvery tube around the stem. Leaves pointed oval, larger on main stem than on branches. Flowers pink or white, in clusters of 1-6 at base of upper leaves; June-November.

A weed of cultivation, found in or around the flowerbeds.
