Lesser Trefoil (Trifolium dubium)
Low, lying on the ground, almost hairless. Leaves in threes, leaflets very slightly notched, not pointed, the middle one longer-stalked. Flowers yellow, 3-15 in the head; April-October. Pods straight, covered by dead brown flowers.

Like a tiny, yellow clover with untidy flowerheads. Found on short grass throughout.
