Lesser Periwinkle (Vinca minor)
Low evergreen undershrub, almost hairless, with stems rooting. Leaves elliptical, short-stalked and rather leathery, in opposite pairs. Flowers solitary, blue-violet (ours are almost white), with 5 joined petals; February-May. Fruit elongated and forked.

Big patches in the woodland strip.
