Red Horse Chestnut (Aesculus x carnea)
Spreading tree slightly smaller than Horse Chestnut (q.v.) Leaves made up of 5-7 leaflets, like fingers of a hand. Flowers pink, 5-petalled, in conspicuous upward-pointing clusters; May. Fruit a large, warm-brown nut ('conker') in a green case, less spiny than Horse Chestnut.
