Dog Rose (Rosa canina)
Shrub, with thorny stems arching to 3m. Thorns curved. Leaves with 2-3 pairs of toothed leaflets, hairless or sometimes downy beneath. Flowers 40-50mm, pink or white; June-July. Fruit a red, berry-like 'rosehip'.

Here and there on meadow margins from car park onwards.
