| Short/tall grass, up to 90cm but often much shorter. Leaves flat, folded when young. Flowerhead long, with flowers alternating up opposite sides of the stem; May-November. Very common on hard, grassy ground. Common at lawn-edges and kerbs where the mower has missed. Spotters' score: 3 ref: p.50/2
