Common Dog Violet (Viola riviniana)
Low, almost hairless. Leaves heart-shaped, in a tuft. Flowers blue-violet, unscented, with 5 unequal petals and a stout, curved 'spur' at the back; March-May.

Occasional on south margin of meadow.
