Low/short hairless. Stem leaves 3, long-stalked and deeply cut, in a whorl just below the flower. (Root leaves appear later - sometimes not at all.) Flowers 20-40mm, solitary, white, with 6-12 petals (which are in fact sepals, not petals); March-May. Can be found in wood by stream. Spotters' score: 9 ref: p.80/5 |
