| HAMSTER INFO. HOUSING AND CAGES You will need a nice sturdy cage for your hamster. Wire, glass or plastic All are good. Here is a list of thing you will need in your hamster cage: a cage a small bowl for your hamsters food a water bottle (they work better than water bowls) a small plastic house hamsters love them bedding (at least two inches or more in your cage) a wheel (hamsters need excersize!) When you should clean out your cage- Once a week clean out your hamsters droppings Every 3 weeks to a month- clean out the whole cage with disinfectant and put new bedding in. FOOD AND BEDDING You will need to give your hamster fresh food every day. Once a day, In the evenings cause that is when they are up and ready for it. Make sure your hamster always has fresh water, change it every day. SPECIAL TREATS Hamsters love treats! So every once in a while, give your hamsters little treats. Here are some super treat ideas: -toilet paper/paper towel rolls -store bought treats -chew sticks -pieces of wood (you can buy in stores) put him or her in a hamster ball and let them go they love to run around and I you have a cat keep a very close eye on them Cat can knock the ball open . |
