DIALYSIS CENTRES.
BELOW ARE THE AMONG TWO DIALYSIS CENTRES IN SINGAPORE.
Alexandra Hospital (AH) Centre
KDF took over the management of the self-dependency dialysis unit (SDDU) in
Alexandra Hospital (AH) on 17 April 1996. It is now known as the KDF-AH Centre
and is situated on a different site from the original centre that was
inaugurated by Senior Minister Mr Lee Kuan Yew in 1975. It has 22 haemodialysis
machines, with a maximum capacity to treat 120 patients.
Bishan Centre
KDF-Bishan Centre, officially opened on 20 November 1997 by Minister for Home
Affairs and Member of Parliament of Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC, Mr Wong Kan Seng. It
is situated at Block 197 Bishan Street 13 and has the capacity to treat 84
patients. With the closure of the dialysis unit at Tan Tock Seng Hospital in
October 1997, the patients were transferred to this centre.
