Below are listed the residents of Hinita Inn, and the main stars of Love Hina. I have left off some of the supporting characters, as I said, I want to get you intrested in the series, not tell you everything about it. However, I will tell you it is much deeper then I have made it out to be, the character descriptions are minimal at best, just enough so you can know basicaly who's who.

 

Keitaro:
 Our lucky main character, Keitaro-sempai, the manager of a womans dorm, which houses what would soon become his friends. He has a problem however. When he was young, he made a promise to a childhood sweetheart, that when they grew up, they would get into Toyoko University together, and be happy from then on. Well, he dosnt make it into Toyoko U on his first try, and to make matters worse..the only thing about the promise he remembers, is making it. He dosnt remember to who!
Narusegawa:
 By her temper, he hair should be red. Narusegawa, or as they call her in the series, Naru, is also trying to get into Toyoko U, (Todai). Her intentions are kept to herself for the most part, until later on in the series.
Kaolla Su:
 Kaolla Su, the young girl in the schoolgirls uniform. She's a student at a junior high, and staying at the dorm for lack of a better place to stay. Her family proves to be quite complex, perhaps just as complex as some of the machincal devices she comes up with during the series.
Shinobu:
 Shinobu is the second Junior High student from the series. In the beginning she has a hard time with friends, and her family life seems to hit rock bottom, making it hard for Shinobu. But not to worry cause soon, Keitaro, and the Hinita group comes to the rescue. -_-
Otohime Mutsumi:

Ahh, and just when you thought things were going pretty smoothly, and you thought you had the plot all figured out, here comes Mutsumi. This girl seems to suffer from a simular klutz attack syndrome as Keitaro, as well as she seems to pass out at odd times. She too, is trying to get into Toyoko University (Todai), but has failed her first time around. And like Keitaro, she too uses a promise made by childhood sweethearts to get into Toyoko U, a promise that sounds an awful lot like Keitaro's. Dun'na'nun!

Motoko Aoyama:
 Motoko, a strong willed Kendo warrior, who always keeps her sword ready, and is never hesitant to use it aginst Keitaro. Granted her attacks just seem brutal, Keitaro seems to survive them with just a few bruises. I think she takes it easy on him, after all, they need Keitaro, so she dosnt exactly want to kill him, just teach him a lesson he wont soon forget.
Kitsune
 Naru's Highschool bestfriend. Kitsune isnt her real name, but a nickname. However, I dont recall them using her real name in the series. Kitsune isnt intrested in Toyoko U, like her best friend Naru, Kitsune is more intrested in having fun, and is staying at the Hinita dorms in order to be near her friend Naru, as well as to keep having fun, after all, it dosnt look to be a dull place to live.
