Keitaro, after having just recently failed his first attempt into getting into Todai (Toyoko U.), move from his home to stay with his aunt, and grandmother. This brings Keitaro to Hinita Inn, where he is allowed to work as manager, and thus stay in the woman's only dorm, while he's trying to get into Todai, however, it dosnt start out that easy. At first, Keitaro's aunt tells the occupants of the dorm (Naru and company), that Keitaro is already a Todai student. Naru agrees, in hopes that Keitaro can help her pass the dreaded entrance exams, so that she could go to Todai. Now Keitaro is living as a manager for the dorm, taking care of the cleaning, and repairs that need done, as well as studying so that he can get into Todai, and make his little white lie, into the truth.

Things seem to run smoothly, until the Kendo warrior, Motoko shows up. The thought of a male living in the same building as her seems to be rejected by her, and violently. She time and again, tries to argue Keitaro out onto the streets, but ofcourse, in the end, they reach an agreement, and Keitaro is once again allowed to do his job as manager.

Now it seems Keitaro is finally able to concentrait on getting into the University, and meething this girl whom he made a pact with long ago. He has memories of a childhood sweetheart, withwhom he made a promise too; that they would go to Toyoko University together, and be happily inlove from then on. It's a very nice sentiment, however the problem with it is, Keitaro dosnt remember who he made the promise too! The girl was taken away while they were still young, so he dosnt remember her name, or what she looks like, only that he had made that promise to her, and that he loved her. Romantic dont you think?

And that's the main storyline of Love Hina. Ofcourse there are problems all along the way, but it wouldnt be a good anime if it didnt have it's fair share of problems, and humorous situations. Well, I hope I didnt ruin to much for you.
