Memories
are always precious to the heart, mind, and soul…Its memories alone that give
you reasons to continue on through your life, passing on all emotions and
hardships you’ve ever encountered…
Without memories it
feels like losing a part of you; an emptiness that is the replacement of that
missing piece…

Blazing flames burned through every corner
of the grand hall, spreading uncontrollably like a disease through the veins.
Brilliant hues of crimson and orange licked through the floors like waves of
water, soaking over drapes of silk and the flesh of bodies, all their faces
hidden beneath the inferno of fire.
The sound of soft crying surpassed all the
destruction, the flames which rose higher above the ground swirling beautifully
like dancing fairies. A youthful teenager sat in the middle of a large circle,
surrounded by the wild flames which promised to consume her hungrily.
Her face was buried within her arms, trying to hide
herself from facing the towering inferno. She could hear the fire crawling its
way towards her with anxious and slow breathes, stretching out its many claws
to grab her. But she felt no heat from the flames…only coldness, smoke, and icy
chills running past her sense of smell. The smells of
darkness…loneliness…revenge…the smell of a curse…
“Lynette…”
Hidden behind her black-forest hair, Lynette dared
herself to take a small peak when seeing the figure of a young man walking
through the blur of the cold flames, his hand raised
open and extended out to accept hers.
“I finally found you…Let’s go, Lynette…”
Her body was stiff and frozen, the curse from the
coldness given by the reaching flames affecting her body. Her tears begin to
fall much heavier than before, the color of fearful hazel-green eyes bearing
into the man’s unclear ones.
As if knowing her distress, he lowered himself to her
level and gently gathered her in his arms. His embrace was very comforting and
secure, the only warmth provided that burns through her skin. But all of the
warmth died when she gazed upon his face in horror…his shadowed face…
“I can’t hear it…”
His hidden face slowly lowered to gaze upon he. “Lynette…”
“I can’t hear it…your heartbeat…”
Then Lynette screamed when a pair of large amethyst
eyes flashed through her mind; a pair like beautiful gems of dark violet, so
soft with glittering tears that filled with such sadness and pain that was
brought to only her.
But it wasn’t the voice of the man that had spoken before
she lost unconscious…but the voice of a woman, the owner of those sad violet
eyes. “Lynette…Forgive me…”
And Lynette was drowned in an ocean of
darkness…sinking deeper and deeper below…

Then what
reason for living should be given to those with no memories? No memories of the
past…no memories of who you are… not even a single memory of wishes or goals
that gave you the motivation to live and grow through your life.
So to continue
living…I created a goal for myself, for I am one of those people with no
memories of anything but one past event…an event of cold flames from a curse,
the man with no heartbeat, and the woman with those amethyst eyes…
But when I
remembered gazing into those mystifying sad eyes…eyes I can only see except for
the man who held me…an answer flowed through my mind smoothly as it did to my
tongue when I spoke that name. And it was because of that name that I gained
the hope and will to live…a name that was believed to be hers…the woman’s name…
…Katherine Fonteyn…
And I will search
for her from the only answer I had received…to learn the past of myself…to know
the reason of the burning icy flames from a powerful curse that had surrounded
what I believe was my home…and to what she had done to me that I can ease her
pain to forgive her…
…That…is my only goal…
