Race #1

#3 FALLMIST Is a VERY luke warm selection in a rotten opener. She was too far back last week behind bad cover and never got in position or the flow. It was only her 3rd start on Lasix and the other two were with a very suspect driver. This field is very weak and she may try to wire these as she has done in the past. My only concern is she was urged pretty hard in the lane but had no response at all, but that was in a pretty good mile. Good guessing!
#2 I LUV PHRECKLES Gets major post relief and should be able to stay close tonight. There is no one in here that is good enough to pass a lot of horses, so up close is where you want to be. Ward is good in these type of races and that rates her 2nd best.
#6 HAWAIIAN KULA Is merely the best of the rest in here. Hawk will get more than the trainer would driving this one and that is good enough for me.

Race #2

#4 JACKS DREAM GIRL Raced here Tuesday night and responded with a VERY easy cover trip win. This one made a ton of money last year and is conditioned by one of the best. Case will keep this on relaxed early and float up with cover and turn it on at 3/4's for an easy win. No price but solid.
#7 HOME FIRES BURNIN Brett Miller is back up and that will make this one better. Prior to Tueday night this one was chasing MUCH better horses and getting checks. He doesn't have a lot of early speed and will need to avoid road trouble, but with any clear sailing from the 1/2 on this one will complete the exacta.
#5 TOOLTIME Broke last time out after several good efforts against a streaking horse. He too will enjoy the class relief and if he minds his manners is a gimmick must.

Race #3

#8 TUCSON SUSIE Hard to go against in here. She has won 5 in a row and the last 2 have been against most of these horses. She can race on or off the pace and from the 2nd tier should have the needed striking position to extend her streak to 6. No price but she is solid.
#4 CHERUB'S EXAMPLE Is a good longshot in here. Last week she was COMPLETELY backed out when the #5 retreated on the backside. She had to come to a stop and lost some 15 lenghts to the front pack. After she did get out she came ranging up to the lead group and had a bit of pace. I'm guessing she is going to try and follow the 8 and with such cover she could complete a very nice exacta.
#7 TAMMY Q Has to come from last tonight, but I believe the cover flow is where you want to be. She has been a model of consistency this year and rarely misses a check. The price will be better out here and she may get a piece.

Race #4

#2 GAME NICOLE Was claimed last time by one of Ohio's gurus (Belcher) and gets to drop in class tonight. I'm guessing she will be MUCH better and with Hawk doing the steering she should be able to pay immediate dividends. Tab the tote.
#1 JV'S PAZZO Fisher was not able to relax this one last week as she was pulling at the 1/4 only to be choked back into the hole. At 3/4's Fisher had all he could handle and left the rail for a 3 wide bid. The leader scooted away and this one hung badly on the turn. The drive cost him any shot, but prior starts indicate this one is solid. There isn't a lot of true speed in here and she may be able to go on at the 1/2.
#4 SUGAR VALLEY ANGEL Gets a class drop tonight and that will help. Last week she was gapping cover undre a drive but still went a faster mile than most of these go. She should be able to catch 2nd over cover and will be alive in the lane.
#9 HOOTER CAKES Will be pacing faster than any of these at the end of the mile, but the question is where will she be. She has absolutely no interest in racing until around 3/4's, but then turns it on. 2 out of the past 3 weeks she has come in the cover flow and going to 3/4's anyone watching would have said she was going no where but backwards. However, when she gets around that final turn she must see the wire and know what to do as she comes charging back. You don't want to be behind her early as she is poor cover, but can pass horses in the lane like one of the best.

Race #5

#6 BROOKLYN BLOOMER May prove the upsetter in here. Last time Case drove she went wire to wire and in fairly easy fashion. There is a void of early foot in here and I'm sure Case will have this one pointed for the front. There are also very few in here that make big moves (except for #2) and if she can get an easy quarter she may be tough to catch.
#2 TUCSON BRIDGET Has missed nearly 3 months off a lame scratch and that is obviously a concern. She has faced MUCH better for a long time. John Lee has been known to send them out ready off long layoffs and the qualifier is no indication as there was interference. If she is ready she wins by 5. Tab the tote.
#9 SF CONFEDERATE Left under a hard pull last week and had to be wrestled into a hole. From there she came out 2nd over and was driven to keep up with the cover. Around the final turn she was able to drop back on the rail and did finish evenly. This field is pretty soft and with Pantaleano back in the bike she may share.

Race #6

#6 LILLS DREAM Left from the outside last week only to be shuffled out of contention. At the top of the stretch she was able to get room in the passing lane and did finish well. She was keeping some pretty good company at the Meadows and may be able to get a good early seat tonight. Good value.
#1 NOBLE SIS Made her sophomore debut last Friday and sat on the rail the whole way around. She never had room and never lost touch with no urging. She is well bred and may be a bit more aggressive tonight from the rail. A wake up is expected.
#4 DANI ANNIE Gets Case back in the bike and he does know this one best. A bit of class relief only helps. She has no early speed but can turn it on late. With proper striking position she will be dangerous.

Race #7

#4 IDYLWOOD CONCORDE Is a horse in super form. She has gone 3 very tough trips in recent weeks and has responded with gutsy finishes each time out. There is enough early speed in here to give this one the early pace she likes to close in to. Likely favorite but deserving at that.
#1 BIT O RIBS Seems to be getting back into form. All of this trainer's horses have been much better in recent weeks to boot. She loves speed and from the rail should have the 2 hole at worst. Last week she was pushed back on the final turn with no room and when she did pull back out and behind the leaders she finished will good pace. If the top pick doesn't get there I am very confident this one will.
#6 IMAGINE ANYWHERE Drops into this series after competing with much better. She likes the front end but has proven she can race from off pace too. She goes big miles at times and can share in here.

Race #8

#1 I NEED NEW NYKES Looks to be a VERY solid pick tonight. Last week she raced against better with young Wyatt in the bike. Tonight she gets Hawk back and faces an easier field. She will be used early and most likely will cut the mile, and with out hounding pressure should be able to last.
#9 AIR TAYLOR Is another one that gets some relief tonight. She has good early foot and will try to leave with the top pick. Should be able to stay close and save any energy for the lane and is a good gimmick possibility.
#5 PARK LANE CHEER Is a BIG dropper for Case/Morgan and that alone is enough to make her competitive. I doubt her form, but back class may be enough.

Race #9

#1 GOLDEN PRINCESS Is in her best form in recent memory. She has been flashing good early speed and finishing VERY live in the lane. She should be able to work out the 2 hole, if not try and cut it, and will be right there at the finish.
#3 IZZY INC Was too far back last week and that snapped her 3 race win streak. From this post she should be able to stay in the game and merits a lot of respect.
#5 MIZZ OAK Needed her last start off a 5 month layoff and will be tighter tonight. She will be over bet as Case and Virgil sometimes are, but still is a gimmick possibility.

Race #10

#3 ARMBRO TICKET Comes to Northfield after a few needed starts at the Meadows. Speed is her game and she should make a VERY easy lead in here. This one will be bet and deservedly so, as she looks much the best in here.
#5 MS RAQUE TOP Went a HUGE mile last week as she was used hard to get the lead and then took hounding pressure from an Open I mare and still battled dead gamely to the wire. She may be able to leave for the 2 hole tonight agains the top pick, and either way her form keeps her competitive.
#8 CG FIRE Was one of Northfield's top mares all of last year, competing at the top level most of the time. She had a freshening during the cold months and needed her last. Speed is her game and she will be rolling hard and early like she did last week. If she can get to the wood at any point of the mile a better finish will follow.

Race #11

#8 HE'S NIFTY Should be simply AWESOME value tonight. He was one of Ohio's top Invite trotters the past 2 years and is just coming back to the races. Last week he was under a super pull the whole mile, wanting to sprint to the front only to be told "no". He was pulling so hard in the lane Case was flat. With no room he ran up on the #5's wheel and made a break. The front end speed should come back to the field and this one should be in the flow and wide picking them off 1 by 1. 5-2 or better is a gift in here and I see that.
#3 MRS JANE Gets Hawk back in the bike and to be honest when Conger puts Hawk up, good things happen. She too will let the pace come to her and may complete a closer's exacta.
#7 DR BERNIE Was facing the best on the ground to start the year and then took a month off. He was impeeded in that needed start and should be better tonight. He too is a late rusher and I see him in the same flow as the above 2.

Race #12

#6 EMPRESS OSBORNE Is Ohio's queen. She was charging first up 2 weeks back only to be denied the lead. After that she finally wore down the pace setter and got tired in the lane. She has missed a week and that may be a concern, but when she is right she beats these for fun.
#2 BREAKAWAY SAHBRA Is as good as any in here right now and will certainly be one of the longer priced horses in here. She has worked her way up the condition ladder with some nice races and has proven she belongs at the top with nice efforts in recent weeks. If a couple of horses get into it up front she looks to have the position to pounce on the final turn.
#7 BEACH BINGE Had to come first over last week and that is not her game. She is a true late runner that loves to stay covered until around the 5/8's mark. Then she tips out 3 wide and passes them like they are standing still. With a hot pace she will be flying home.

Race #13

#4 SHY POCKET Takes a HUGE drop in class coming to Ohio and should be able to make the front end easily. She is a very solid race mare (just look at last years stats) and with Case up can only race better. She should be able to wire these.
#7 ROMANTIC MELODY Is the only horse in here that could possibly upset the above. She has been a $20,000+ claimer at the Big M and now is owned by Mr. John Lee. I'm not sure how she will handle the smaller track, but if she doesn't mind the Flying Turns she will complete the exacta.
#3 LADY NUCLEAR Is simply a best of the rest type in here. She can stay close with tactical speed and has decent late pace too boot.

Race #14

#2 GOLDEN AGE Catches some post relief tonight and that may let this one race up front. This is a VERY bad field and who ever makes the top may last. I'm hoping she does.
#9 TOMANDESS Is very slow early and has to be driven hard to get any pace from her. She is fairly game and gutsy, and with Miller up may have an edge against others in here.
#1 SAND NOBLE WAVE Will be able to stay close to the pace from the rail and that should be good enough to give this one a shot to share. Schillaci seemed to get along with her and returns tonight.
#6 SBRIG'S SHIRLIN Was able to save all the ground last week and finished with some driven pace in the lane. From the 6 hole it won't be as easy to take the short trip, but with some luck she may complete the Superfecta.
