Race #1 |
|
# 3 WESTERN DEBUTANTE | Is entered in a short but speedy field. Looks able to sit in the pocket and benefit from some fast fractions. |
# 1 HI HEELED N HUNTIN | Ships in from Northville Downs with early speed and having won her last two. Looks to be the early pace setter. That race win in 2:03:1 is very fast for Northville at this time of year. |
# 2 ROCKETTE HERSHEY | Is another of the early speed types and exits last race with a wire to wire victory. With all this early speed, something will have to give. I see Rodney Bolon backing off the front end when challenged by one inside of him. |
Race #2 |
|
# 3 FOLLOW THE MONEY | Caught an off track last out and will be better suited for the fast surface. Adds driver Dave Palone for this Mickey Burke trainee. |
# 1 AL DUSTY | Raced huge last out against lesser types. Her having the rail might be enough to offset the raise in class. |
# 6 KALs SUPER BABE | Has won two straight and four out of ten starts this season. Driver Dan Charlino is very capable and seems to do very well from outside posts. |
Race #3 |
|
# 4 KENTUCKY BUCK | Drops down to a level where his closing speed is superior to all entered. Looks to find these easy pickings as he will be the odds on favorite. |
# 1 ACTIVE GOAL | Was my pick last out but failed to close any noticeable ground. Looks to be racing near mid pack and use his late speed for a minor award. |
# 5 GEORGE L B | Has talent in a closing manner but seems to be his own worst enemy. He needs to be driven conservatively and given his head when he wants to make his move. |
# 9 SMURF | Is dropping down in class slightly and is used to add some value to an otherwise short exotic pay off. |
Race #4 |
|
# 7 RONDEL FRANCO N | Has done nothing wrong in the states as she is a perfect 4-4 this season. This one hails from a powerful Corey barn that is loaded with imports from Australia and New Zealand. |
# 4 BAR TRICK N | Closed willingly against the top pick last out. I see no reason why she can not do it again. |
# 1 YANKEE JIFFEY | Ships in from the Big M to face the second string of the Meadows distaff pacers. She looks to have enough speed to get a piece of this. |
Race #5 |
|
# 9 TRIPLE T SATURN | Has never started off a season this well in his career. This Defiant Yankee offspring seemed to develop late last year and has kept it going. He is classified correctly and the outside post is not a worry. |
# 6 QUICK KIRK | Is a handy trotter on the class drop. He looks to be in the mix in the latter stages of the race. |
# 8 HALO IN ORBIT | Has been changing hands in the claim box recently and has shown the wear on the track. He is one that loved to race on the engine and might be the key to his future success. |
Race #6 |
|
# 5 HAWERA N | Won decisively last out in this class. She meets basically the same field with one addition. She is the one to beat. |
# 6 RAIN DANCE KIM | Did everything asked of her and won this top classification three straight times. Her reward was to be excluded from racing for her fourth win in a row. This has happened all to often at these tracks which wish to keep the horseman entering their steeds. They usually come back a little short and may burn the publics money in the process. I personally dislike the win 3 and your out rule and does nothing to protect the public which is footing the bill. |
# 4 BOBS ON THE ROAD | Was my top pick the last few weeks and has failed to complete the contract. She is one tough competitor that is not up to snuff at this stage of her conditioning. Looks to be coming late with a furious charge only to wind up a length short at the wire. |
Race #7 |
|
# 3 DEVILS GIRL | I heard a little on this one and her story is that she is void of any early speed and has been racing on the speed favoring track at Windsor Raceway. She can close on this track and may be over looked by the Meadows faithful. She receives my long shot of the day signification. |
# 2 DANIELLE LEE | Drops in class and meets a field that she should be very live at the top prize. She can race well both on the wet and dry surfaces. |
# 1 SHOW ME LOVE | Drops in class and draws the rail. She is one that can make the board at decent odds. |
Race #8 |
|
# 1 BESTIQUE | Was used twice last week and seemed to race her heart out. Tonight, with her rail post position, should have little trouble with this field as she only has to be used once. |
# 4 JENELLE MINDALE | Has been one consistent sort of late having won three in a row and just missing last out. Seems to be the publics stick at 7/5. |
# 5 ONE OF THE KIDS | Looks to be hitting top form of late but just can not seal the deal with her losing by a neck in her last two. She will either get better or lose a little interest in racing. |
Race #9 |
|
# 3 ANNE BONNY | Tired badly last week as my top pick. She will rebound and make amends. Her arsenal includes early and closing speed. Depending on the track bias, she should be driven accordingly. |
# 1 BALLINALEA N | Is part of a nice entry from a strong stable. Looks to benefit as her forte is early speed and should secure a great racing spot near the front end. |
# 7 FOXY JAZZ | Returns from her win at the Big M and is assigned the outside post for her success. She will be under priced and her chances at winning are diminished given the post position. |
Race #10 |
|
# 3 LISTEN FOR CAM | Was my back up saver in last weeks contest. Tonight she does not have to face that Browneyedemily. She may have things all to herself by the top of the stretch. |
#5 HAYLATROSS | Was claimed last out and moves up in class. She is as fast as most of these and should add some value to the exotics. |
# 1 WHISKERS SISTER | Has taken money in the last two races with no returns. I feel the public will shy off of her leaving the connections a chance of a nice score. |
Race #11 |
|
# 2 TAP DANCE N | Is a hobbled trotter that seems to be fast enough against these. She has not raced up to expectation in her recent start but can show a different face is driven aggressively. She needs to be in the mix early or else she will lose interest. |
# 3 PERFECT C | Is another hobbled trotter that looks good on paper. She has raced in the open division of the distaff, has raced and won against the Invitational against the boys but that was a few years back. They say class comes out in the lane and look for her to start reliving those early days shortly. |
# 5 FOX VALLEY BRUSH | Was used hard for racing position last out and seemed to like that stalking trip. She came hard in the lane to lose by only a head in a three horse photo. Any improvement makes her very live for the top prize. |
Race #12 |
|
# 3 GO CATHY GO | Raced well last out and got a perfect trip to the lane. She looks to be gaining her top conditioning and will be the one to beat in this race. Morning line odds of 6/1 are way out of line and I will accept anything over 8/5. |
# 5 CATCH A WAVE | Has been on my horses to watch list and seems to be ready to produce. She has been driven in a very conservative manner and has finished the current races with much pace. She returns to the paddock barely winded at all. She will surprise the public in one of these races. |
# 1 ABERTROSS | Gains the rail and seems to be ready to give escort service to my top pick. This one loves to be put on the engine and should do so given driver Todd Cummings preferred racing style. |
Race #13 |
|
# 4 SHE LIKES IT ONTOP | Races second time on lasix and gains minor post relief. There is nothing much inside of her so expect that she will get to the lead in quick order. She should back the half and have a ton remaining in the tank for the lane. |
# 6 LADYBUG HANOVER | Has raced well in all her recent starts with her having 3 seconds and 1 third in 4 races. Looks to be a key in the under part of all exotics. |
# 1 ROMANTIC SUNSET | May be more of a hunch than handicapping but this one seems to be racing herself into shape. Maybe the rail might help land her on the superfecta ticket at huge odds. |
# 9 LISTEN FOR LARSON | Ships in from Northfield with 3 wins and 2 seconds on her card. Having the outside post and her lack of any gate speed should diminish her chances for the top prize. |
