Race #1 |
|
# 7 HARE ROLLERS | Is really down in class as there are two classifications of the Fillies and Mares Not Listed Preferred. One purse is $6,700 and this one is $5,800. This one is the only early speed in the race which is controlling in nature. Looks to wire these without much trouble. |
# 3 GINA FRANKIENJOEY | Has inside post and is presently racing in good form. She prefers to sit off the pace and save her best for the lane. |
# 6 RICOCHET LADY | Is the shipper from Northville Downs in Michigan. She now meets a field a little less talented than last week. She should add some spice to the exotics. |
Race #2 |
|
# 3 MILLER HIGH FLIGHT | Has been off recently but is making a comeback after showing some nice speed in a qualifier. He is one that can rate of the lead, close from the back or cut out his own mile when he is at the top of his game. I foresee his leaving for position and saving some ground till the lane. |
# 9 TWENTY DOLLAR MAN | Is strictly a front running sort and given the staggered starting gate, should have the lead in quick order. Stamina might be his downfall. |
# 1 BARBS MELODY | Is one that is rarely out of contact with the competition. Given current form and inside post, looks to be a lock at hitting the ticket. |
Race #3 |
|
# 3 BESTIQUE | Was caught first over against one who was surprising strong on the lead. Looks to benefit with the drop in class and the lack of any controlling speed types entered. |
# 9 BESSIE B | Made her first start of the year last week and put in an exceptional effort. She should be a bit tighter this go round. |
# 4 SHOW ME LOVE | Draws decent post position and is not racing that bad at the present. She may be a bit weak on early speed but can save ground and use her best spurt in the lane. |
# 5 MARCOS MAGIC | Gains minor post relief and is entered with a 33 percent rate of hitting the board. Looks to add some value to the exotics. |
Race #4 |
|
# 1 RAIN DANCE KIM | Needed that race last week as she was forced to miss a start due to the archaic rule which requires winners of three straight in the top classifications to race elsewhere for the next week or sit out. She dominated this class till then and should be a short time before she regains the throne. She was second over with live cover last out but came up short. |
# 3 HAWERA N | Ran first over on a day early speed held sway. She gave cover to the top pick and still held that one off. She looks to be near even money at post. |
# 5 BOBS ON THE ROAD | Won in a wire job which is against this ones past performances. She is one tough competitor and does require respect. |
Race #5 |
|
# 7 GENTRICE HANOVER | Is the long shot of the day. She is known to rebound with a flurry following a bad performance. She is one dimensional is that she is void of gate speed and is a terror closing when hitting on all eight cylinders. |
# 4 IRISH EMERALD | Is the pure speed type entered and should last a long way in that role. |
# 2 FOX VALLEY HOLLY | Seems to be always around at the wire and may do so again. |
Race #6 |
|
# 6 FOXY JAZZ | Wired these last week and should easily repeat. She has won twice at this level while adding one win between those races at the Big M. She is in tip top shape and will be at odds near even money. |
# 5 ANNE BONNY | Is a tough campaigner at this track and makes it to the top somewhere in each mile. Question is can she hold the position once she attains it. |
# 1 BALLINALEA N | Is part of a strong entry from the Corey barn. Stable mate Whitesville Crown came flying last out and makes this a strong one two punch. |
Race #7 |
|
# 5 ALIKAZAM | Has won two legs of this series and is the most improved pacer of the lot. This one was never green as this one just started racing this year. She came out of the Leah (Long) Lemmie barn and was a private sale before the series started. She may be at odds approaching 3/1 at post time. |
# 1 WESTERN DEBUTANTE | Seems to be the most seasoned but is the most head strong of these finalists. Doug Snyder sometimes have to get after her when she sulks. When her mind is set on racing, she is a monster. Looks to be driven aggressively as they make the dash for the cash. |
# 4 NIANGALE | Is the pure early speed type that should set the stage for the showdown between the top two picks. This one should have enough to hold sway for the minor spot on the ticket. |
Race #8 |
|
# 6 AFRICA N | Exits the qualifier in good stead. This former Dover Downs trotter has added lasix to his arsenal and seems to love the added endurance. She shows a liking for the surface she is racing on. Looks to be the public stick at odds of 4/5. |
# 1 HIPO SAFRON AMI | Has been racing in good form and given the rail should make the board in an easy way. |
# 3 R GOLDY LO | She appears to be an all or nothing type of trotter. She has speed and is adept at racing in a hole. I feel she can race with any in here but may need a perfect trip to score the win. |
Race #9 |
|
# 2 RONDEL FRANCO N | Was driven in lack luster effort last week. In my opinion, a driver should place his entrant in position to make a serious run at the wire. Brian Sears seriously fell asleep last week and when they hit the lane, no one came home as fast as this one. The problem being is that Brian had to make up so much ground, he ran out of track. This one is the horse to beat in this race. |
# 6 TOWN TRIST | Makes her appearance known as she ships in from the Big M. This one has won two of her three previous races and should take to this oval. It appears this 3 year old Big Towner filly is using this race in preparation for her stake season which begins at the end of April. I believe she is staked to all the PA sire events including the PA All Stars. |
# 1 FOLLOW THE MONEY |
Moves up in class following a race in which she looked to have it easy but only to tire in late stretch. She should be raced a little more conservatively and have enough in the tank when she hits the lane. |
Race #10 |
|
# 5 HOPE SWEET HOPE | Is one risky pick as when she is on her game, she can out close most on the grounds but seems to be having most trouble in the turns. Her propensity to make these breaks are the risk factor but with her odds of near 6/1, she may be worth to take that risk. |
# 3 KICKIN B | Is one steady trotter that can be race on or near the front end or be used closing from the rear. He seems always ready to perform and is a must use on all exotics. |
# 1 TUSCARORA BOSLER | Gains inside post relief and has not raced that poorly. Looks to be at high odds and seems to have a 50-50 chance at hitting the board. |
Race #11 |
|
# 4 TUFF SANDY | Has been too quiet of late but has won in this class before. Looks to be at 7/1 at post time. Her best style is from off the pace and this race is void of controlling speed types. |
# 7 BROWNEYED EMILY |
Drops back to a level where she has had some success. Her outside post diminishes her chances slightly. |
# 3 QUIZZICAL |
Was used hard last week on a front end attempt to wire the competition. She is presently in good shape and should last a while in that effort. |
Race #12 |
|
# 2 TAP DANCE N | Won in an easy fashion as my top pick last week. She meets the same class and hopefully the same results. |
## 4 FORDIMENSIONAL | Adds lasix for the second time and may show more as she caught an off track last out. She has speed and with added stamina, might be a steal at odds approaching 8/1. |
# 5 MS QUICKDRAW MCGRA | Was my top pick last out and was through early as she was raced in a front end manner. She is capable of same but is better suited in a closing manner. I am not ready to jump ship on her yet. |
Race #13 |
|
# 2 LISTEN FOR LARSON | Is the only one of two entered that shows having a win this season. This one has three wins to her credit and should loom large over these. |
# 1 SHE LIKES IT ONTOP | Makes third start on lasix. She tired in the lane last week which may permit the vet to increase the dosage of lasix this coming week. She is pure early speed and is dependent upon the speed favoring surface at the Meadows. |
# 4 MAIN GATE WYNSHARP | Is the only other horse to have a win this season in this race. She might be a bit of a sleeper as she went off at odds in excess of 40/1 last week. Driver Tyler Stillings is both capable and aggressive enough to get this one rolling. |
# 7 LADYBUG HANOVER | Put in one bad race last week. I am discounting that as J.C. Miller Jr. stable seemed to be off all week. There might be a bug in that barn hurting all their chances last week. I will give this one the benefit of the doubt and look for her being in the hunt in the later stages of this race. |
