Race #1 |
|
# 6 ABERTROSS | Has enough speed to garner a forward racing position. She meets others in here that are mostly on the class raise and may be over looked by the public. She gets my Long Shot Of The Day call. |
# 3 MAIN GATE WYNSHARP | Has won last two by a neck with her last quarters in 28:4. She is in top form and may take it all with a perfect trip. She moves up in class for the second straight week. |
# 1 SAPHIRE SKIPPER | Gains post relief and seems to have enough speed to handle the class jump. I think she is a little short in the stamina department. |
Race #2 |
|
# 4 RPS | Gets another call as the top pick though he has failed in his most recent attempts. He has the speed but appears to be his own worse enemy with the making of breaks. If he remains on stride, should be a force in this classification. |
# 1 BARB’S MELODY | Has gate speed and a near flawless trotting gait. Won last out using the passing lane. Having the rail might not be a favorable spot given the Meadows staggered starting gate. |
# 7 L B CROWN | Is the best closing speed entered and exits last with a easy win at high odds. He meets a tougher bunch tonight but can get a piece of it. |
Race #3 |
|
# 5 C L HALLIE | Exits qualifier with a strong effort. This one looks to be in top shape and looks to wire the field. |
# 6 KAL’S SUPER BABE | Has won 4 times this season though has been off form in recent weeks. She has hit the board 8 out of 15 and may offer some value to the ticket. She has the speed to get a piece of this. |
# 3 HERE PUPPY | Exits same qualifier as the top pick where she put in a decent effort. She looks to be in mid pack and try to find clearance in the lane. |
# 8 WESTERN BABY | Makes third start of the season for Dean Zaimes. She managed to catch the place last week with her late speed. She does have gate speed and can race in a hole well. |
Race #4 |
|
# 1 RAIN DANCE KIM | Is the poster mare for the abolition of the 3 wins and your out rule. This one destroyed the top distaff class for three weeks running and then had to sit out a week. She has not won a race since. She tried to wire last week indicating that current form is improving. She tired late to finish third by less than a neck. Looks to be strong tonight given the rail post position. |
# 2 RONDEL FRANCO N | Is a versatile mare in that she can race on the engine or close from the back. She like the top pick drops down into this class. This one hails from the powerful Corey Jr. trained and Muscara owned barn. |
# 3 GINA FRANKIENJOEY | Has the tools and the speed to threaten these with a perfect trip. She like the top two selections are on the class drop. |
Race #5 |
|
# 7 GO CATHY GO | Has done very well for the Bendis barn since the claim on March 23, 2001 with three wins and a second in 6 attempts. She has a ton of early speed and is well versed at the pocket trip. Using the passing lane is not a problem for her. |
# 6 LILLS DREAM | Won at first asking for the Inman operation following the claim. She is one where early speed is essential to her performance. She needs the lead and should offer live cover to the top pick. |
# 2 COOLER | Is the dark horse of this contest. She has some speed but needs to be placed near the front end and save ground to be effective. |
Race #6 |
|
# 3 AL DUSTY | Gains post relief and seems ready to gain some of her former conditioning. She has beaten the likes of these before and with the drop in class may have the best shot to date at a nice score. |
# 2 COSMIC EXPRESS | Exits stake competition and meets older more experienced mares. She has the speed but may be a little short in the stamina department. |
# 1 BASE ALT | Drops to a level where her speed is enough to be a threat to all. She needs to have things go her own way in order to win this. She is fast enough to gain a forward racing position and hopefully does not go first over too soon. |
Race #7 |
|
# 1 MISSY BE GOOD | Appears to be fast enough and given the rail post, should have a good shot at the top prize. Doug Snyder will have her in gear as the gate opens. She is at her best when racing in a forward racing position. |
# 7 AMBER FIELDS | Is a fast three year old filly who exits last with a win in stake company. She took a week off and may be a bit short. Connections may be fine tuning her for upcoming stake action. |
# 6 MS ROME CC | Exits last with a win in present company. She got the pluperfect trip and may need similar to repeat tonight. |
Race #8 |
|
# 5 AFRICA N | Finally meets these when the present monster of the midway, Annie Bonny must sit out due to the three wins and your out rule. This one has speed but has failed to use it as she could not secure a two hole with the monster and Foxy Jazz both shooting for the front. Tonight we will see this one shine as connections will send her to the front. She has been a fast one with the addition of lasix and may garner odds of near 4/1 at post time. |
# 6 FOXY JAZZ | Received the perfect trip last week and failed to score. She is a bit off in conditioning and will be a suspect favorite. She can get beat tonight leaving this classification with a new winner, something this class has not seen in months as this one or Annie Bonny have taken the top prize each week. |
# 3 ASSINCIA PARK N | Is a speedy one in her own right. She gets major post relief but meets a little tougher bunch. She hails from the down under connections of Corey Jr. and Muscara barn. |
Race #9 |
|
# 3 DANIELLE LEE | Came up a little short in last week’s contest and should make amends tonight. She can either come from behind or be placed in a forward racing position to be effective. |
# 7 ANN CAN TU | Has probably the best late kick of those entered. Last week saw her fail to fire with a perfect trip. She tired in the lane which may indicate this one turning south but I feel she was just out paced in the lane but a horse in better form than her. |
# 4 LUV YA CIGAR | Failed last week against Golden Tip whom I believe she could've beaten. She moves up in class from the conditioned claiming ranks and might be taken at the claim box. She should put forth a good effort for the connections as this may be her last start for them. |
Race #10 |
|
# 4 FOX VALLEY BRUSH | Was my top pick two and three races back but when omitted last week, won in a very easy score. This one was hand driven and had more in the tank. Looks to wire these again. |
# 3 SUPER EARL | Is probably the best closing speed entered. She exits last race with her best performance since her last win on April 6. She may be returning to her top form which should make this race very interesting at the wire. |
# 8 WHITESVILLE CROWN | Appears to be the fastest on paper as this one drops in class. The eight hole will offer some resistance to her winning as she does not have early gate speed. She has had a history of making breaks which also diminishes her selection value. |
Race #11 |
|
# 4 BROWNEYEDEMILY | Has shown no weakness since being claimed back into the Mowood barn. She has wired her last two races and was under hand in doing so. Looks to be on her way to the open classification in a few weeks. |
# 3 WESTERN WHISPER | Came up a half length short as my long shot play of the day last week. Notice that she went off as the post time favorite after having morning line odds of 10/1 or more. She has speed and present form is nearing its peak for the start of her season. |
# 2 JENELLE MINDALE | Has been the over achiever of this season in distaff company. She ships back home after lighting up the Red Mile tote board with her win at odds of 77/1. Notice that she beat Eraser Hanover who is a force on the stake circuit. She is sharp but is meeting older more experienced mares. |
Race #12 |
|
# 6 GEORGIA BABE | Dave Palone put in one of his worst drives in present memory as he decided to race in the three hole past the 5/8 mark and was locked in for life. He did manage to find clearance late in the stretch but could only close up for third. She has the ability to man handle this field and it is up to Dave to permit her to showcase her talents. She is making her second start off of the claim. |
# 2 TOMMY GIRL | Has shown some positive signs in recent weeks and now gains a most favorable post which may permit her to add some value to the ticket. Wilbur Yoder is both capable as a trainer and driver but seems to be over looked by the wagering public. |
# 1 M J’S MISS SHER | Gains the rail following a week where she closed willingly in her fourth start of the year gaining the place finish. She might put in steps at times but she looked nice in last week’s race. |
# 8 KT SASSY SELINA | Has early speed and can rate in a pocket trip if needed. She may be over bet for my liking but will be a live one to use on the superfecta ticket. Her only weakness is her disdain for the wet going. |
