Kinematics

Kinematics is the study of how things move. We break it into one dimensional and two dimensional kinematics.

In one dimensional kinematics, we restrict our motion to straight lines. WE learn the specific definitions for displacement, velocity, and acceleration. WE also learn the difference between these terms and other everyday speech such as speed and distance.

In two dimensional kinematics, we start with an introduction of vectors. Some trigonometric identities creep their way in, but it not intensive. We build on our previous knowledge of displacement, velocity, and acceleration, and allow our motion to go both up and down and left and right.
