BAGNA CAUDA
Low calorie version of the Indian "Hot Bath" for vegetables.  It is a bit different.  The recipe came from a Hunts Tomato Sauce cookbook about 30 years ago, it is great for our low calorie, low fat diets today.

Makes about 1 1/4 cups.

1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
1/4 cup salad oil
1 Tbsp. anchovy paste
1-2 cloves garlic, mashed
Dash pepper or Tabasco
Pinch dried tarragon

Heat all ingredients together, stirring until smooth.  Keep hot in chafing dish.  Serve with raw vegetables such as carrots, cauliflower, zucchini, snow peas, etc.
