PARMESAN TOASTS
1 long loaf of Italian bread, cut into 1/2 inch slices
1 garlic clove, halved crosswise
Olive oil for brushing the slices about 1 cup freshly (preferably)
grated Parmesan

Bake the bread slices on baking sheets in a preheated 350 degree oven for 7 to 8 minutes, or until they are crisp but not yet golden.  Rub the cut sides of the garlic over the slices, brush the slices with lots of olive oil and sprinkle them with a thin layer of Parmesan.  Bake the toasts in the 350 degree oven for 7 to 8 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the toasts are crisp.  Makes about 25 toasts.
