True Story.

I was driving through downtown San Antonio with my boss when we passed a
sign reading "Museum of Texas Culture."

"Huh. That ought to take about ten minutes to see,' I scoffed.

Without missing a beat my boss replied, "Why in God's name would you want to
go through twice?"

Check my numbers, I've had several people tell me that my numbers were on
the order of 100 times higher than they should be; thus, negating my
theory that there is actual intelligent life in Texas.

Of course, I am talking here of 'collective intelligence', any other
assertion would bring immediate ridicule of my hypothesis.

HERE GOES:

If there are 6.4 million citizens of Texas, and each one had a measurable
.00001 of an I.Q. point, that would give the state of Texas a 'collective
intelligence' of 64 I.Q. points. This would put Texas at 4 I.Q. points
above clinically retarded (60 I.Q. points).

Now some of you have stated that my numbers are artificially inflated
because I may have friends or relatives in Texas (not true), or I may have
been born there (insult!), or that I didn't properly adjust for the
occasional out-of-state visitor (I made all the proper adjustments).

I realize that I am risking my professional reputation by stating that
there is intelligent life in Texas; however, please remember that this is
only a hypothesis; also, just in case, I'm signing...
