Today me carter and my neighbor ben managed to get tolu mad. Ben said "why you hatin' on me" when tolu stopped rapping, and i said "if adeniy calls i'll holla' at you" and something like "i'll hit you up later". Then carter said something like "fou sho diy". This is just stuff we've heard him say, and well after wards i was surprised he was actually mad. He said i was ignorant. Well for a second there i felt bad, and then i thought wait a minute this is just like making fun of hicks on jerry springer. He kept asking why we thought it was so funny because me and carter were busting up laughing. So i was like "why do you even speak like that" and then he said i was ignorant. Then i realized that its actually tolu who is ignorant, but his innate i am black and i am right because i'm oppresedness (which can get annoying at times, but he's got a low amount of it at least) kicked in. See i know he can speak perfect english like a normal person with an iq over 80. But he chooses to speak like an ignorant person who cannot fully command the english language. That my friends is not only ignorant , it is just stupid. How it can be cool, to sound more stupid is beyond me.

Lastly i bought a radeon ddr today. Terry will probably be happy and then say that i'm pathetic. Got it for $105 off a fellow UCLA student, through the mighty anandtech of course. Problem is they were right about the drivers, and i cant get counterstrike to run at all in openGL and at a decent speed above 5 fps in direct3d. Great.... hopefully i can fix this because i've been told its supposed to work.

Well my dad has told me about this for a long time, and i happened to see a link to it today. rape of nanjing I found this on stileproject today, honestly i dont go there very much but i did today and well this seemed interesting. I still think that the japanese should have to apologize at some point in the future, just like the germans did to the jews. Also besides the point, but as i mentioned earlier i read the daily bruin today. The specific part that irked me was the viewpoint column. Not only did some retarded most likely rich girl rant about corporations making profits , and not selling aids drugs for as much so 3rd world countries are having so much aids. First off , if she really cared about aids so much and if it really is so cheap to buy medicine for them, then why doesnt she sell her car and her computer and donate it. Secondly why the hell do all these people have aids anyways. Its because they have sex all the time and don't know about aids. So they are ignorant about aids right, so its their country's fault. Sure they dont have enough money to get tested and crap, so maybe if they dont know maybe they shouldn't fuck every random stranger they meet and infect half the population. Ok and that wasn't even the bad article. The bad one was the whining black girl about affirmative action again. Saying that the SATs and grades are biased to poor people since thye aren't white and not in that class level in society and etc. Because if they talk about a yacht on a test a poor person wouldn't know what a yacht is and it would mean almost certain failure. Thats total bullshit, because think about most asian people who immigrate here. We aren't exactly raised in your typical white family so we cant relate to that. Wwe don't step off the plane with tons of cash to live in a nice suburbian home, 2 cars and all that crap or can we instantly get along with all the americans here. But these people seem to do fine, if they work hard like the people who work 18 hours a day in a korean liquor store so that their kids can go to college. SO this whiny black girl figures that since she's black that should make up for the 18 hours a day she didnt work and get to have what those koreans who aren't covered in affirmative action worked for. No affirmative action is for lazy people, or stupid people and most likely lazy stupid people. If a person works 18 hours a day running a liquor store and expands to 100 stores, and becomes a billionaire, no matter what race they are they deserve what they have coming to them and no one else should get help to do the same thingk just because they are black or green or whatever because that person didnt and he still had his 100 stores. Also 2-3 days ago i also read the daily bruin also and the filipinos were whining in viewpoint and saying that they should also bring back affirmative action, but put filipinos should be covered since filipinos are a underrepresented asian miniority (which they are, but thats not something that really matters here). That is also a load of crap, i dont give a shit about diversity, we have diverse minds here thats good enough for me.

Lastly i figure whoever just read my rant may be offended, but not like anyone reads this page right. I was just archiving my news again, i mean didnt want 2 months to be on front. And I realized i've had a page up for about 2 years now, and except for the first 3 months i've got it all archived. I dont know if thats cool or pathetic or a little bit of both, but i was reading some old stuff, and watched how last year i was a total overclocking , upgrading my computer every week maniac and over the summer slowly turned into a sell everything i can buy for money greedy bastard. And who can forget the bitter about everything at school 3 months of high school that are on there. Wow the memories. I noticed pretty much everyone else on the bar has a archive too, except really connie and carter and jason. Then again i think jason and carter have every single post of their new pages on the front page.

Wow, I was reading foxsports.com and well UCI's basketball team is 15-2 and 7-0 in west coast conference play. They used to really suck. Arent you proud matt?

Outside of that i really did nothing today. I went to the post office in ackerman to send off a money order for my dual p3-550s. It was right at 4 pm too, the fun time. When everyone is whining to let them still buy stamps, even though its closed. One girl came in like screaming. I would have bought her a one cent stamp, had i not already finished and gotten out of line. Like the other 6 people in line didnt seem to think of that, which is real odd considering its only 1 cent right. The last time i was there that late, a girl pushed a box over onto the post master guy and mail was all over the place.

After that i scored another deal on anandtech, got me a HP c200 camera like randys for $215. But the great part is that it comes with a 64mb lexar CF card like matt has. Thats really cheap for $215, so time to sell of the camera and pay like $15 for a 64mb CF. It also came with a wide angle lens that is $35 and a $30 ac adapter. So woohoo, now my mp3 played and my camera will have lots of memory. Also the owner of OCZ store finally emailed me, and my check for $4500 is finally coming on wednesday and i actually got a tracking number. Whew, was getting worried about being actually broke there.

Pretty cool. Got my 5x dvd today, but i was too lazy to install it. We tried to play some basketball. I sucked though, i cant move laterally still from respraining my ankle on tuesday. That really sucked.

Came back, went to Mos, and ate jose's again, while me , mo and his roomate shawn, watched a replay of the sick end to the maryland duke game. I cant believe duke won still. I then went on an insane buying spree. I ended up getting that small business edition office 2000 foor $75, two crucial cas2 pc133 -7Es 128mb dimms for $105, and i got the 2 p3- 550s down lower to $175 shipped. I think i'm just gonna replace my ram with the pc133, or maybe just run all of it together for 512mb of ram. HAHAHA that would be pretty gross actually. I'm planning on just selling the processors and the p3s , and probably make another $180 to feed my gushi, mongols, joses addiction. Well i should sleep now, gotta watch superbowl tommorrow.

Today i didnt do much. Went to CS and turned in homework. Made some really moronic mistakes on my quiz. Forgot to write a + sign down on one spot, ruined half the quiz. Got 14/20. Damn that was stupid. Came home in the rain. Then ate chilli at puzzles. With a side of chilli. Then bought ton of crap on anandtech to sell. Got me 2 pentium 3 550s for $180 , and i'm hoping i get the office 2000 small business edition for $75 OEM. Yesterday i bought myself an sb live xgamer for $50 shipped, so that i'll have a fully dolby digital compliant DVD machine. Yes , matt i'm filipino. HAHAA.

After doing some of that, i played pool and ping pong again. Lifted weights more, since we had to wait for stuff. Played gaurav's roomate jay even at some point. Lost of course. I was sucking man. I learned how to do squats too. That sucks, almost fucked up my shoulder in the process. But in a try to lift as much on the benchpress machine thing, i tried it with the plate marked 129 211, and i lifted it and amazingly it wasn't that tough. Supposedly its 129 at the low resistance and 211 at the end. Which makes no real sense to me still, supposedly has something to do with that lever thing. Hopefully if i keep this up , i can bust some heads next time in basketball instead of getting my head busted. Lastly, terry said i'm not asian because i cant squat like i'm tending a rice paddy (which is why it took me a while to figure out the squat machine).

Today was a very good day. Got up, turned in math. TA stared at me, as i walked into his class 5 minutes before class was over, put my homework on his desk and walked out without saying a word. Then i took my econ midterm and that went pretty well, except i dont think i got full credit for one part. I'm figuring at the worst i got an 85 or so. Hopefully anyways.

After that terry harrassed me for about 10 minutes about the way i lick ice cream combined with a ton of sexual innuendo, and wouldn't give me one of his 4 chocolate chip cookies even when i was gonna pay him. Then i made a grab at them after one particularly bad comment that was something about the windows operating system and sex. Something like that. Anyways I reached and in the struggle the 4 cookies flew in the air. One landed on my back and one behind a car on the street, and the other two fell with paper around them onto the sidewalk. Terry stared at the one in the street for a little while and then ran at me with enraged. Punches flew and I dodged them all the while with a cookie on my back. After he stopped i gave him the cookie that landed on my back. After inspecting the two on the paper on the sidewalk, one never touched the sidewalk so i took it. I gave terry 75 cents and we talked about how crazy that was and how i had cracked and turned into an Ivan. Then we played pool and ping pong and i lifted weights for like 10 minutes. Yeah pathetic, but i did a set at 155 on the benchpress machine thing, so that wasnt to bad. hopefully i'm getting stronger, carter said i get killed in basketball so much since i'm such a weak ass.

After that i came back. As pathetic as my hall was 15 people were playing counterstrike on the lan, and being a thursday night as usual i had nothing better to do i joined in. Getting sniped all the time sucked so I let some other people use my computer and watched basketball highlights. Then i started playing again, but the A team was on again and i watched that. I pity the fool who doesnt watch BA barracus.

Well today tolu asked me if i had any respect for gaurav's computing acumen. And i said not a bit. So he goes, yeah but gaurav has a 3.85 GPA. And i'm like so what doesnt matter the guy cant create. Last year i was his partner and well the guy has no problem solving ability. Without the TAs giving out psuedo code he'd never have been able to write our programs. The guy knows the book inside and out, and the commands and all the syntax and rules. He knows how to use the tools but he cant build a house out of them i suppose. Which is what leads me to my conclusion. I'm an artist. He is a peon who gets fed instructions and gets good grades. So why does he have good grades? Well grades are for classes and classes have tests, and things you can study. It doesnt take any creativity or logic to get an A in a CS class, just a lot of studying. If we were at a job at a small software company , or making viruses that no one could stop, well he'd fail. At least thats what i'm hoping because if thats not how it works out well that will suck. I figure i'm wrong anyways, so oh well. Let me just say this, if someone needed to come up with a strategy for solving the problem of attacking the white house, i'd come up with a better plan just as i would come up with a better plan if we were gonna make the most efficient database programs. Kinda ticks me off when people make grades seem like it means you are better at something, so i had to rant. Grades are for classes, they measure effort in engineering, might be different in say the art or design school which is one thing i like about the art and design school.

Anyways i've been really slacking lately. I have been going to CS, and well the mystery of p and n transistors that put me in a panic and made me drop cs51 last year has been unraveled. The only difference is the p ones connect to power, and n is to ground. Other than that they are the same. This makes me feel really stupid since the rest of the chapter was really easy once i figured that out. My math class is kinda wierd in that i'm not sure if my ways of solving the problems are right, because you can do it the really easy seeming english explanation way like terry does, or do it with math symbols and hard proofs. Good thing i got sona to let me photocopy his homework since i helped him in cs. And in econ 2 i found out my neighbor freda was in my class so she let me photocopy her study guide. And for physics lab i got gaurav to give me all his lab write ups. So well thats pretty sad huh. Oh well i was feeling kinda guilty earlier, but jason and tolu reassured me that i was doing the right thing.

Finally my fans made it to idaho, and the ocz store owes me like $4500 which i should have soon in theory. Hopefully that works out right or i'd be out a lot of money which would suck, but they assure me they are gonna fedex me my money and well i do trust them enough from my other deals. Stocks are up. Thats awesome. I think jason is actually driving all the way home this weekend to fix his dads computer. Wow, thats insane. I never imagined something like that happening to me personally, since well i'd never have that problem. I told jason he'd be wasting $70 on gas and might as well just have his dad buy a new computer at that rate, considering its so much time and a waste. Also i read connie's page. How the hell fo you have $50 to waste on dyeing hair? Man where do you get all this money, no way in hell i'd ever spend $50 on a haircut.

Lastly, the lakers suck man. They keep losing and not only that they are not even fun to watch. The clippers lose more but at least they are up tempo. They shouldn't let all these old guys in the league like harper, and ac green and stuff. They just slow down the game and make it all slow, for their style of slow basketball. If you watch a game with young teams like the rockets, the kings, the clippers, the hornets, which basically means teams that are uptempo less defense oriented you get a much faster flowing game that is just better to watch as a fan. I mean the utah jazz are the epitome of old and well they just suck. I hate the emphasis on the post up game, its just retarded, What i think they should do is widen the lane so that that its even bigger or change the 3 second violation to a 2 second one. I hate seeing a giant loser like shaq with no finesse or real basketball skill with his back to the basket forever since he cant to shit. Everyone knows the only fun guys to really watch are those that could play small forward or less because all the centers are so slow and methodical. We should start an XBA like the XFL with those ideas.

Well I turned 20 a couple days ago. Celebrated by ordering joses for me and tolu and eating it. yahoo. Anyways, i got like 7 happy birthdays from people on ANANDTECH forums. Thank you all 3 of my actual real life friends who bothered.... Yes terry i am a whiner. Anyways, today i went to mongols with terry. I missed it for 2 weeks man. Wow. It was as usual good. Then we wandered around circuit city for a while and looked at stuff.

Money wise i'm doing awesome actually. This week my stocks all did really well and like i'm only down 20% on my datek account since august. Yes that sounds horrible, but there are lots of people who have lost a lot more. My suretrade account is down i think 95% since i got it, so i'm leaving that for dead pretty much. This week i finally finalized my deal with the overclockers store to sell fans. I sold 228 fans for like $4500. I also got my new matrox g400 32mb singlehead, which terry says was a retarded idea. With that, i traded my voodoo4 4500 and my $55 64mb compactflash card i bought during winter break for a pentium 3 600 chip and a 8x dvd drive. So now i'll have dvds, and i think i can sell the p3-600 for more than the card and voodoo4 are worth.

Class for the most part has been really really easy so far. I havent done anything. I found out i have a midterm next thursday in econ 2. Should be cake, since i have the lecture notes, read the chapters and well econ is just too easy.

Well today was another did nothing day. Actually i did do some stuff, not all that productive though. I went to the federal building, to go to the post office there to handle this insurance claim of this thing i bought online a while back. The post office people seemed retarded, and i dont think its gonna work right, but oh well. After that I went to copymat and got my physics reader, which means there are only $300 worth of books left that i dont have yet. My cs51 class looks like its gonna suck, just because there are quizes AND homework. Thats just gonna suck i think. I also went to radio shack so buy a y splitter so i could hook my speakers and headphones up. But i found that it kills the low end on the speakers so the bass just sucks ass. So I wasted $5 i guess. I also went to the bank and deposited a bunch of cash i had laying here.

After that i went with Tolu to play basketball outside but it started raining so we went to wooden. Played a couple games there, but not with tolu just got picked up on some team. At least i got some exercise. I played ok i guess, not as well as normal I just havent played in a while i guess. After that came back to watch the start of the ucla-usc game (which we won after we almost blew a 19 point lead). My neighbors nadia and freda came in and we watched friends during the boring part of the game and i ate dinner with them. Rieber was decent actually, i guess dorm food is ok if you only eat it once or twice a week. Then Ben came in and we watched tolu lift weights for a while and discussed why asians dont gain muscle very fast. Then they started joking around about friend chicken, grits and rice. I tried to curl the bar and i was surprised i could still curl 80, but i could only do it like 3 times. After that i think i was real bored, but it was like 1 am already and i watched the A team. Which is a great show BTW. They only welded a machine gun to a helicopter in that episode though.

Well today it rained, so i felt that was a good excuse to go to my pointless classes. But at least i got to do stuff at night. Talked with my neighbors sort of , but they were watching dawsons creek on my TV. And then brent and mo came up and we talked about being happy with our majors, and college, and religion. I didnt really talk about religion so much , since well i didnt have much to add to their conversation. Brent apparently hates engineering now, and also is sick of college so he's going to Spain next year and leaving engineering.

Well i also got my new monitor today. Its well... awesome. 1600x1200@85hz, Sony trinitron tube. Just awesome. Paired up with the coming matrox g400 32mb it'll be the perfect text machine. As i sit here now I think to myself that I am slowly wasting away. Total boredom resulted in me actually reading my o'reily java book and installing jbuilder. At the rate of boredom i will learn java by the end of the month. I've done nothing of that feels like it matters at all in the last 2 days. But since i'm bored and feel like typing i'll put it in my daily log anyways.

Yesterday I managed to wake up too late for a 2 oclock class. Woke up at around 2:15. So i decided to call KDS and RMA my monitor, so my new trinitron one should be here soon. Then i got an email from Ryan Petersen of the overclockers store who said he was interested in buying my 12 agilent coolers. So i made $130 by selling those. He wants 200 more, so i should get another $1800 in profits within a week. I was thinking about getting a job this quarter but $1800 works out to something like $11 an hour for 15 hours a week during school, so i dont really need any more money so i'm just gonna sit on my ass again. I kinda like how this works, my dad never gives me money he just gives me oppurtunities to make money. Thank god i know ryan in idaho. What sucks is the money doesnt matter, i mean what or who would i spend that on anyways. So i figure i'll probably just buy some more LSI stock to average down my losses. Then i went to CS, where my traditional girl counting got something in the range of 3-5 with 2 being in the not sure part. I also realized all the people who sit in the front most seats are retards and ask quite possible the stupidest questions ever.

When i got back , i was told by terry that the math class that i missed doesnt put homework on the web, so i switched lectures and am now in james sharpes lecture and discussion. I then ate at carusos and talked to a friend for a couple hours. Then i think i sat on my ass and did nothing but surf the web till around 3, showered then slept. Yes pathetic my life is.

Today i got up around 2 again, since well class starts at 3 on tuesday for me. BTW for those who dont know, class starts at 2 4 days a week for me, and 3 pm on the other day. I went to econ 2 and well that was a different experience. It was in dickson and i said hi to mary on the way. Anyways i'm sitting in econ, being taught rudimentary stuff that anyone with an IQ over 4 would know. Apparently the 200 or so other people in class had a combined IQ of 700 thus less than 4 a piece. They were all taking notes about how the letter P stood for Price. While i was looking around i noticed the scenery and all the pretty girls on campus that wouldn't talk to me were probably there. Accepting that thats how its always been, i realized that i also have now gone to more econ2 lectures with a total of 1 then i did for econ1. At least my professors seem pretty cool so far and pretty easy too. My math one gives you an A no matter what if you get an A on the final, even if you didnt take the midterms. I figure i could even possibly do that, but its too risky. My physics lab was like 20 minutes and my old neighbor Brent is in my class which is kinda cool.

So basically in the last 2 days i've managed to make the perfect schedule, set up deals to make a lot of money and still I dont feel very good, since well i'm sitting here bored out of my mind. Oh well, i'll have some real excitement tommorrow when i get to buy books! whooppee. I love lines.

Uh.. yeah its too late for happy new year stuff i guess. HAHA. Anyways , i am bored right now so i'm gonna post. Well i went to jasons new years eve party. That was pretty fun. Me and chris walked around westwood, once the couples started going at it. We had a good conversation for like an hour, went all the way up to royce. Iron chef was pretty cool.

Other than that i havent done very much. I bought some clothes after christmas and a little later in the week. My grades came from school, got an A- in math 33a, B in english and a B- in chinese. now considering the amount of time i spent on chinese, i really think that sucks, but well i guess i could have spent more time on it, but i did spend a decent amount of time on it. A lot more than on math i'd say. Likely more than math and english combined. Now maybe i'm at a disadvantage since i cant actually speak a dialect. I talked with the white guy in my class (the pure white one) once when we were in a group with this other guy. The other guy could actually speak, and the white guy was like "damn i dont know i just wanna get out of class." Well anyways, i'm not taking chinese next quarter anymore, its not worth the stress. Plus its at 10 am . The only possibly positive thing would have been i could have teased connie in front of that gordon guy. HAHA. Maybe i'll go for a week before dropping it.. hehe

Oh yeah i remember what i saw last week. We were playing basketball at sur la brea. Connie will be interested in this. that mike kokubun guy was playing against us. Except he's all fat now. HAHA. And he wasnt that good anymore. Then he took off his shirt and he has kokubun tatooed on the small of his back. HAHA that was funny, i cant believe anyone could be that retarded. Also i finally sold off some of the crap i collected over winter break. My 12x plextor burner and my pentium 600 are both gone finally. So now just the digital cameras and i'll nothing again. Good thing i got the new agilent coolers to sell. That will be good food money, might be able to sell 100 make a G or so. Which reminds me, i read an article about students at prestigious colleges (mainly cal and mit and yale, etc were mentioned). They are called drop-in students instead of drop outs, because they stay in school so that they can start businesses since there is so much talent at school. There are even VCs just for colleges now. Thats pretty cool i thought. Also the stock market still sucks, but it seems to be getting a little better.
