Well Spring break has been pretty whatever so far. I went clothes shopping so far. Bought a knitted sweater thing at structure, i think it looks pretty cool. ANd i also got some "whatever" clothes, like a clippers shirt, some cheapo nike shirt, and some cargoes and more warmups. YOu can never have enough warm ups. You can sleep in them, ball in them, go to class in them, and look stylish in them. They are almost the perfect clothing. Also my ebay account got unsuspended so now i can sell the IBM laptop i just bought to pay for all these clothes. The laptop is so tempting to keep, but i'll resist. Its faster than basically all our desktop machines, not to mention has more hard drive space than most of them too. But nevertheless, NO MORE GADGETS FOR HANS! I have more important things to spend my time doing. I still am gonna probably buy another shirt and i have to buy a belt still, so if anyone wants to accompany me to the ghetto mall or the galleria to do that, please say so. Also i wandered into banana republic today, and that place is still so damn expensive. Totally out of my price range. like $70 for nice stuff. NO WAY man, thats just crazy. Oh yeah I also watched 40 days and 40 nights. I made the right decision instead of watching blade 2. I thought it was hillarious, and one of the better more funny movies i've seen in a while. Matt didnt seem to like it quite as much as i did but i think he agreed it'd be better than blade 2. I give it 4/5 stars. I think the josh hartnett factor scared away a lot of guys from watching it, but it really is a guys movie and its hillarious.

Hmm i was just reading about ucla basketball again. And Bill Plaschke of the LA times and I think very much alike. When i saw Lavin make the substitution I was like WTF is he doing? Anyways , Lavin man he's good sometimes and sometimes he's a bonehead. I think maybe he just sucks all thetime, and the reason we make it to the sweet 16 every year is that our players are just that talented since UCLA is a big school and easy to recruit for. Seeing as how Yahoo has decided to be a bunch of total asses and take away free pop3 and forwarding. I am now going to use my UCLA account. you can still get me at hanswee@yahoo.com, but my primary email will be hwee@ucla.edu. Yahoo also disabled FTP access to geocities sites. That wasnt too bad, since i really didnt use that. But this email thing, sucks. After getting me dependant on them, and having everything in outlook saved, i know have no choice but to use my ucla account (which i only have 2 more years on). Oh well this sucks. Yahoo wants $30 a year. They can kiss my ass. Also cs131 and cs111 finals can kiss my ass too.

I've noticed i've been sleeping A LOT this week. like 10 hours a day. Thats probably why i'm up right now. I'm done with 2 finals , 2 more to go on thursday. Those i think should be ok but not great. CS111 and 131. I'm doing better in 111 than 131, but whatever, 131 is easier but its melkanoff and he's just a total ass on his tests. Open book at least. Saturday i took cs m152a. I think my designs for it were decent. Or at least partial credit. But i didnt know some of the questions, because we didnt cover it in lab. Its such a retarded class, i mean they want us to study a book from a different class, for material that isnt in the class for the class' final. Today i took the stats one after studying with lynn and kenzo for a couple hours yesterday. I learned what the word "lorny" means too. haha. That test was pretty easy, outside of a couple of math properties i didnt know which probably made me miss 4 or 5 questions. It was out of 40 though, so i'll probably get a B+ to an A in the class. Thats pretty good.

So whats everyone doing for spring break. I cant wait for it. It's gonna be fun, just chillin hanging, possibly play some warcraft 3. Who knows. but i know its gonna be better than finals week. Personally my 10th week was far worse than finals week stress wise. I feel pretty good right now. 10th week was 30 hours of programming in lab. 30 hours of lab is so bad that it makes you wanna double major just so you have options. Oh wait, thats what i'm doing. Small rant time. Ebay hasnt reinstated my account, because the address on my drivers license is different than my current one since imoved. I sent in a piece of signed dated paper with the new address like the DMV said and they said i could do that, but then another person said i couldnt. gay. Hopefully i can get this straightened out, since i have a lot of crap here i need to sell still and this is not good.

Well its 5 am and i'm still up. As usual i'm gonna end up skipping 4 hours of CS lectures, since well they are retarded. But after today i wont have to worry about that anymore. HAHA. I worked on my cs project again today for 4 hours. I got a lot done actually, i have it all planned out and i should be done on friday if i continue to get work done. Since i was planning on finishing around sunday night, i might actually have some time to study for my CS lab final on saturday. Then again i'm probably not gonna do too great on that. Lets just say if i get a 40% on that, it would be good. Good thing its only worth 20% of the grade. My 2 CS classes that i've been skipping assuming i finish this last CS project i'll have done all the projects. And outside of a glaringly stupid error on the 3rd CS111 project, i'll have done them very well. This current DOS FAT one seems pretty straightforward, just lots of tedious little gay functions to mess with.

So basically everything is going well. My finals will probably be alittle rough as I'm not the biggest fan of them, and well i havent been to stats in quite a while, and since we dont have a book that might be a problem. I feel pretty good and healthy right now. Spring break will be great, i'll get to sleep a lot. Also i finally decided to grow out my hair instead of shaving it off again. So spring quarter welcomes back haired hans. You'll have to see it to believe it.

WHOA! two updates in two days? whats going on. Yup you guess it i'm bored. Today i had some productivity. Sent off my old toshiba portege laptop. Worked on my CS project for a while, and helped my friend Johnson on his 6th lab for class since he is gonna add me to his group. Props to johnson i would have been out 20% of my grade without him. AHHHH. I'm real happy for some reason. No i dont have anything new i didnt have last week or something, and i'm not on drugs. I just feel good. Also I finally got my last class today too. Schedule below. I decided i'm gonna double major in Econ and be a super senior. Well at least try and major in econ, i think i gotta keep my GPA above 2.5. Anyways outside of the conflict in discussions , isnt that a great schedule?

Well its 10th week now officially. Everything is going great basically. Like at the beginning of last week i had 2 CS labs to do, 1 CS project for cs131, and 1 CS project for cs111, and homework for stats 110a. I was basically screwed. But i did 1 CS lab, and my friend johnson is gonna let me be his partner for the 2nd lab, and i basically have to do nothing so thats done. I did the stats homework pretty quick one night, i dont think it was all right, but i turned it in. And yesterday i did the cs131 project inlike 5 hours, that was awesome, learned scheme and did project super fast. So all i have left is cs111 project which i have 7 days to do. Then finals. And i really dont plan on studying that much for finals so i'm pretty stress free going into finals. Wierd how it works out like that.

The other reason why i'm less stressed out now, is that i've sorted out a lot of things in my head. And i'm pretty carefree right now. Not to mention my laptop selling days are basically over now, so i dont have to use up a lot of free time manageing that. The only really bad thing that has happened lately is Ebay suspended my account for trying to sell visual studio .NET but i just have to mail them a signed thing that i wont do it again, and it should be ok. Ah hopefully all this goodness will carry on into next quarter. Because ucla sucks all the classes are full, so so far i'm taking cs151b , econ 101, and stats m11 (super easy class) since i am gonna double in econ. I dont have a 4th class yet since i cant seem to find an open one. Hopefully later. So next quarter looks to be pretty good so far. Ah...i guess i'm really just content right now with how everything is gonna go. I dont really know why, but i just feel pretty good.

Well i took my last midterm today. It was quite stressful studying for that but i think i'll end up with a fairly average grade on that midterm. I'm doing fairly average work in that class, so i think i'll get a B- in the class since that would be pretty average. Right now i'm reading for the final project. I think i'm gonna try and see john q this week, since well this is the last week before like everything gets really bad for school. Oh well looking forward to finals week, as 10th week i think will royally suck. I also went to the VS.NET launch today. got free visual studio .NET which i'm selling on ebay and free winxp nfr which i'm gonna keep probably or sell off with my laptop. Not bad considering it was free. visual studio .NET seems like pretty good technology , the presentation was really good. Apparently ivan somehow ganked 3 copies of everything as well as other people, since they had enough for everyone who signed up and a lot of people didnt come. Oh well i think its sleeping time now.

Well its march now, i guess i'll update. This has been the most busy and wasted week of my school year. I spend basically the last 3 days living in the boelter 6th floor computer lab. My project for cs111 consumed my very being. I am pretty sure i did the kernel part right as that was pretty straighforward. I think i did the user space part pretty ok, i had to declare a 1 gb array in C, and i think i did that right with malloc. But the traversals run waaaay to fast, so i think its wrong. Oh well spent too much time on it as it is.

Among other things i'm really tired right now. I also managed to get $100 rebate on my new laptop, thus lowering its total cost to $900. I had the box, and bought the laptop in the right time frame. But the guy on ebay wouldnt send me a reciept from the place he got it from (jandr.com) which is an authorized HP reseller. So i looked at places online that had it, and no one had it in stock, but i guess outpost.com will let you order it, so i did, with a ecount online mastercard with $1 on it. Then i canceled and pritned the reciept. Viola! instant $100 rebate. I dont feel it was that wrong, it was a legit purchase just the reciept is a different one. Now $1000 was an awesome price, $900 is just sick. I also fixed that wierd ethernet problem. apprarently it was just the cable, and matt is hooking me up with a new belkin 50 foot decent cable that he got for like $7 instead of the crappy one my friend jeremy made me that only works on some machines. Thanks matt.

Well i guess the quarter is winding down, and i'm still doing half decent in my classes. I 'll probably pull a 2.8+ GPA this quarter which isnt bad. I plan to chill with friends spring break. Very exciting huh. Be prepared for rides in the rumble pack. And NO i am not going to vegas, it is an utter waste of my money and far too large of my chillin time devoted to only a few people.
