Guess what i'm updating from. Yes my death laptop. Specs: p3-700 speedstep, 13.3 inch tft, 4x cdrw, 10 gig hard drive and 256mb of ram. And its all running winme right now. it already crashed. go figure.

Well today i did a lot actually. I took my midterm well technically yesterday. It was insanely hard, i hope i get a C. It was way harder than the first one and the stragedy that worked for preparing for the first one definitely didnt work on this. But i did do all the problems, but i'm pretty sure it wasn't right. Anyways thats that i guess.

After that i got a haircut and ate and then slept till about 8pm. Then i did basically the usual time wasting and then i finally got around to doing my econ 11 homework that is 5% of my grade. They gave me 2 weeks to do it so naturally i did it the night before. Had a jack in the box break since jeremy has his moms car here and he had to go to jack in the box and i had to go. It took me 6 hours to finally do the econ homework, good thing i read the chapters a few nights ago. But at least i finished it and it was alright since i burned a new CD for my mp3 player and listened to like 100 songs. Hopefully this will put me in good shape since i took the class pass/fail. Now its showering time, and then time to turn in the homework and then lunch. Then some sleep and then some CS homework tommorrow night. Damn i've had a lot to do this week. I even missed my wednesday running, so i'm gonna go run on thursday night. I am feeling more fit already.

On friday i am going to cheescake factory with esuc. Then i go home saturday and hopefully my laptop will be waiting for me. I am planning to go home and do close to nothing and just relax. Unless someone decides they want to watch pearl harbor and can give me a ride that is.

Well another day went by. You know i'm really gonna miss the dorms this summer. I mean i really dont like torrance, and well this is a nice place. Last night I basically stayed in the lounge the whole time an reread all my EE chapters. I am much more enlightened now. I also met someone that i didnt know on the floor. Basically it was like me and 5 other people in there the whole night kinda working. It was productive. I guess the people i'm in there at night with all the time are the people i talk to most on my floor also.

Me and my neighbor jeremy actually left the lounge for a break at 6am to shoot baskets. Yeah that was kinda wierd and i was pretty tired but it kinda woke me up. I slept for an hour after that and then i got ready to go to my psych experiment at 10:30. I got 2 credit hours and even made $9. Pretty cool. Went to sleep around noon and woke up at like 7:30 and caught the end of the lakers beating the spurs again. I think i should go buy a broom already.

Below is a picture from the pilipino culture show. I've been to two culture shows now. I think i liked the story part of the japanese on better because the story we longer, at PCN they made like 4 shorts stories. The dancing at PCN was better i think and they had a lot of singing that they didnt have at the NSU one.

Damn the html on my webpage got all squished together. Damn, i think i sent it with cuteftp when the text editor for geocities was down. So this index.html looks like crap. Oh well

I think i wasted my weekend away. Well most of it. At first i was gonna study for the ee1 midterm i'm probably gonna fail. probably gonna start that now. I got a lot of sleep i guess thats good. Yesterday i went to filipino culture night, or i guess pilipino culture night. Whatever.. Anyways that was really cool. I really liked the beginning part where there was this kinda mini play about being an american and filipino and going back home and stuff. I could relate to it a lot. The half naked guys dancing around part was kinda disturbing at first, but it was still cool. What was really surprising was that there were so many people in that club. I mean there had to be at least 100 people involved with that show. There aren't that many filipinos on campus, so that club must have a good amount of all the filipinos in it. The only thing that sucked is due to some insane freak problem the 48mb CF card for my camera broke and now i need an RMA. I ended up using the lame 8mb card that came with it.

Today i kinda was productive. I went apartment hunting with tolu. I was so ready to just live in a crappy studio for $1000 a month and be fine. But he was like we need a living room, and i guess he does have a good point after he explained it to me. So now i'm gonna try and get mo and adele to room with us so that we can afford a 2 bedroom with a living room. Hopefully we can find someplace decent that isn't too far, but we were too slow back 2nd quarter to get on wait lists. Man it sucks. I wish ucla was like other colleges where everyone got 4 years of housing, because well this blows the way you have to look for apartments during school and worry about all this crap.

Also matt went to E3. you should go to his page and see his picture of him with this big grin on his face with the booth babes. The grin is funny.

Well today went pretty well. I turned in my CS homework and send out my flat panel monitor. I lined up my computer to be sold and my laptop is coming next week. Pretty cool. Amazingly i also won a position in esuc. I am now the assistant historian. Basically that means i get to take pictures. Its pretty cool considering i have been in the club for a whopping 1 week and they still voted for me. I hear I get a key to this special lounge in boelter. Thats pretty cool. I'll probably use that next year when i have to live in an apartment. Well its korean ramen eating time.

Well today was pretty good actually. Well kinda i guess. I got 2/3 of my ee1 homework done, and i ended up late for class but i turned it in. Damn that class is hard, gotta study my ass off or at least begin to understand what the hell we are doing for me to pass the midterm next week.

As for the stuff i'm actually good at I finished my webserver in a pretty decent 8 hours or so of actual coding. It serves, post script files, jpgs, gifs, zips, real audio, text files, and htmls. For some reason on a heavy load it crashes, but i think that is just the seasnet solaris machine throttling away the amount of CPU utilization or bandwith i get to have, because i dont see any obvious bugs, and if i dont hit it too hard it doesnt crash. I might actually get an A on this project, so i'm really happy. Might even do well in this class, and since this is one of my upper div classes (for senior year i'd like to add) i'm happy. Just got to write a stupid manual for the server now, even though its idiot proof. I hope they dont take off points for me not putting 404 errors on it, but i didnt have time since i procrastinated.

Another thing i did was i went to ESUC. the engineering society of university of california. I met some pretty cool people , and ran for 5 offices. Since i dont really feel too bad about making a fool out of myself, i did 5 different speeches, and well at least people got to know me by the end. It was wierd though some of those people there were like just like revenge of the nerds, really scary.

The other thing i did was i decided to run around the school around 2:30 in the morning. Ran for about half an hour. Went down sunset, up janss steps, rested for about half a minute, ran to sculture gardens, rested again. It was really peaceful there, like all there was was me and the sprinklers and nothing else. And then i ran to the LS building and then back to the dorms. I had to stop at the bottom of the insane hill and then again at the top, i think i wanted to just sleep right there. But what was wierd was when i finally came back i had a lot of energy. And i'm still up so yeah thats wierd. I think its real good to run in the middle of the night, you can do whatever you want and its so quiet that its really serene. Ohyeah the other thing i did today was finger paint with the hall . Here is a picture of what i made (most of the bottom like the trees and the buildings and island).

Well i guess i'll update. My last post wasn't much of an update. Matt is alive. Thats always good. Either that or someone is impersonating him, but i'll assume its him. I am doing ok, some things didnt go exactly the way i wanted but nothing ever does i guess. I guess they turned out ok, considering but whatever i'm over that now.

I went to torrance over the weekend, and i realized that i have a lot of stress there. Oddly my parents really didnt care about my hair. But my mom gave me a lot of crap about stuff , my dad was really cool. I took my mom to dinner for mothers day at marie callenders also. She kept talking about my brother and well it really is gonna make me crazy having to hear about that so much. The reason i think i have more stress in torrance is that my acne breaks out every time i go home. It was all gone before i went to torrance and all of a sudden like i had 3-4 pimples when i get back from there. They are already going away again, so i think this theory makes some sense. I did get to watch "the 6th day" on pay per view at home. that was pretty good. Speaking of movies i saw mummy 2 and i thought it was pretty entertaining.

Another thing is i've been trying to work out sorta. I try and do pushups and curls every day, and i play basketball for a couple hours every other day. Working out must be good for you. I gained like 5 pounds but i can almost jump up and touch the ceiling in rieber. Right now i can get my hand just over the fire sprinkler head, which was a goal i had all year. Soon i will be dunking, the other day i jumped in the hall and hit my head on the cieling which really hurt. Lastly yesterday was a very good day because i got work done, and my $4400 check from the stupid overclockers store finally came. Took them like 7 weeks because they lost a check in the mail or something, but it came and i am happy.

All i can say is my life sucks. Shoot me.

Man i am such an idiot. Me and jeremy who is my neighbor in my psych 10 class, talked for 3 hours in the lounge and did on studying. We had been told that anyone could do well on the test. Well we were wrong. Out of 60 questions i'd say around 40 of them were like that. But the other 20 you had to have read and tried to memorize the book. Good thing i had read, but what sucks is i had to know all the functions of all the sections of the brain and well that didnt work since i didnt read them that carefully. Oh well guess i'm not gonna get an A. Also that class was huge there were like 400 people in moore 100 taking that test, and its was tough just to find a seat.

So far my weekend is gonna be pretty busy. I gotta read electrical engineering and do the homework, and also start gearing up to program my webserver for my cs class. Yes i am writing a web server, it'll even serve out an HTML page. Cool huh? Gonna be working on that a ton i'm figuring. Also on sunday i'm doing UCLA children's walk for life. Gotta get up early for that, but then again i'll probably still be awake, the way things are going.

Well today didnt go so well. Yesterday (wednesday morning) i studied for econ. I caught up with 3 weeks of reading and looked at notes. Today (thursday morning) I was still going and reading and looking at the sample midterm. So anyways i was in there around 5:30 AM when i decided i'd go sleep for a couple hours. SO i set my alarm at 7:45 AM (my midterm was at 9:30 AM about a 15 minute walk to campus, i'd say almost a mile) since i needed to go to ackerman to get a blue book. So it goes off at 7:45 AM and i hit minute 15 times to set it to 8:00 AM so i can get another 15 minutes. I guess i wasn't thinking or paying attention, and 7:45 + 15 minutes rolls over to 7:00 PM. So it didnt go off, and i got up at 9:37 AM. I was out of my room at 9:40 AM after i got socks and shoes and backpack on. I started running to econ and got there at just about 9:50 AM. Took my midterm without a blue book since they said i could use regular paper. It didnt go too bad, but i screwed up on the last problem because i blanked out and found the roots of the wrong equation i think. Yes this is the 2nd time this has happened, but at least this class is pass fail. I got around 70 - 75 % on the midterm i'm figuring.

Anyways other than that i've just been playing basketball . Getting into better shape. I've played monday through wednesday. I've got a sore wrist from being run over by a guy in an IM game and thrown 10 feet across the court. But its not broken at least. Hurt one of my elbows and my knee also. I'm probably gonna play tonight though.
