X-Wing
Rogue Squadron
Its very name strikes fear into enemy hearts. So when Rebel hero Wedge Antilles rebuilds the legendary Rogue Squadron, he seeks out only the best -- the most skilled, the most daring X-wing pilots. Through arduous training and dangerous missions, he weeds out the weak from the strong, assembling a group of hard-bitten warriors willing to fight, ready to die. Antilles knows the grim truth: that even with the best X-wing jockeys in the galaxy, many will not survive their near-suicidal missions. But when Rogue Squadron is ordered to assist in the assault on the heavily fortified Imperial stronghold of Black Moon, even the bravest must wonder if any at all will survive....

Review:
Good:  New characters, always a good thing. We meet, for the first time, Corran Horn and Mirax Terrik. We are also introduced to Tycho Celchu, another pilot from Endor who survived the run on the second Death Star. We learn more about this squadron and about the pilots that fight for the Rebellion. It's nice to be introduced to the people behind the legends of Luke, Han, Leia, Chewie, etc. It's also cool to see things from the "X-Wing" computer game in a book. Yes, this is the first Star Wars novel to be made based loosely on a computer game.

Bad:   I have no real complaints aside from typos and some discontinuity errors, such as Biggs being 8 years older than Gavin, who is 16, this is 6 years ABY, which would have made Gavin 10 at that time so Biggs would have been 18 when he joined the Rebellion and died at Yavin...
