X-Wing: Rogue Squadron: Blood and Honor by: Michael A. Stackpole art by: Steve Crespo, Jim Hall, and Drew Johnson(pencils), Chip Wallace and Gary Martin(inks), Dave Nestelle and Perry Mcnamee(colors) |
Summary: Baron Soontir Fel, the greatest fighter ace of the Galactic Empire, has been captured by the Rebel Alliance. But from the shadowed recesses of a Rebel interrogation chamber, Fel tells a story of the deception and corruption beneath the Empire's orderly surface . . . and sets the stage for his own defection to the Rebellion! If Wedge Antilles and Rogue Squadron were hesitant to fly against Fel, how are they going to feel if they have to fly with him? Review: This comic has two seperate series within it. The first was called "The Making of Baron Fel" in which Fel tells the story of how he learned to fly, and how he ended up with the Empire, and then with the 181st. This was the better of the two, watching Fel's change. And then seeing him at the end as he opts to join up with the Rebellion. The second part was "Family Ties" this one brings us to Corellia in search of Fel's wife, Syal Antilles, also Wedge's sister. The story was pretty good, bringing in people we remember like Corran Horn, Iella Wessiri and Kirtan Loor. But the art was off. Plourr was completely different than what we normally saw. And Corran's X-Wing looked ENTIRELY green... Back to the Rebellion Era. Back to Star Wars Eras. |
