Mara Jade: By the Emperor's Hand by: Timothy Zahn and Michael Stackpole art by: Carlos Ezquerra |
Summary: Mara Jade is beautiful, intelligent--and deadly! She is the Emperor's Hand, the personal assassin of the Galactic Empire's dark overlord. Mara has destroyed many enemies with her forethought and skill. But after the Emperor's death at the hands of Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, an inforseen variable is about to enter the scene of her final mission for her employer: the assassination of the leader of the Black Nebula crime organization. Though her master is dead, Jade must complete her final mission . . . even if it costs her life! Review: I enjoyed this comic. But hell it was written by Zahn and Stackpole, where could it go wrong? The artwork... For the most part it was good, but you always expect Mara Jade to be this beautiful woman, but she seemed to be always scowling, even when in the guise of simple air-headed baronness or dancer, it took a lot away IMO. But the story was a good one, it showed Mara's dedication and just how far she had to come by the time of the Thrawn Trilogy. Back to the Rebellion Era. Back to Star Wars Eras. |
