Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
by: James Kahn
Summary:
It was a dark time for the Rebel Alliance... Han Solo, frozen in carbonite, has been delivered into the hands of the vile gangster Jabba the Hutt. Determined to rescue him, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Lando Calrissian launch a hazardous mission against Jabba's Tatooine stronghold. Now, in the most exciting chapter of the STAR WARS saga, the Rebel commanders have gathered all the warships of the Rebel fleet into a single giant armada. And Darth Vader, who has ordered construction to begin on a new and even more powerful Death Star, makes his plans to crush the Rebel Alliance once and for all.

Review:
If you liked the movie you'll love the book. It goes into much greater detail on everything. The battle between Luke and Vader is especially good in the novel. Again this is basically like the movie with a few extra scenes added in. For instance there is a scene just before leaving Tatooine where they are walking through a sandstorm and Han's vision returns. Han thanks all of his friends for saving him and gets uncharacteristiscally emotional. He then realizes for the first time in his life that he has true friends that care about him. They also talk about ships crashing into the energy field protecting the Death Star.
