Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back by: Donald F. Glut |
Summary: Though they had won a significant battle, the war between the Rebels and the Empire had really just begun. Now, several months later, the Rebels have established an outpost on the frozen wasteland of Hoth. But even on that icy, backwater planet, they could not escape the evil Darth Vader's notice for long. Soon, Luke, Han, the princess and their faithful companions were forced to flee, scattering in all directions -- the Dark Lord's minions in fevered pursuit! Review: Very good, takes the movie and makes it better. Must read for all Star Wars fans. I especially enjoyed watching a more in-depth training of Luke by Yoda. In the movie we only saw a few things, but in the novel we get to see Yoda even train Luke more with a lightsaber. I would have loved to see Luke cut a stick into several pieces with his lightsaber for training or the floating rocks and whatnot attacking him while he defended himself. Back to the Rebellion Era.
