Review: Good:  It was good to see Jaina learn about how to trick the Yuuzhan Vong like that. I enjoyed reading about the change come over Kyp. The intrigue that is usually present on Hapes is still there. I liked how Ta'a Chume tried to press Jaina into becoming Queen Mother, but in the end Jaina ends up using Ta'a Chume for her own ends. Bad:  Not exactly my favorite book here. I like dark stuff but this was... off, IMO. Jaina would be the last person I would think of to do what happened in this book. And her turn and return being so quick like that. Yeah, I know she and Kyp talked about how she still had a long way to go but it still seemed rather anticlimactic. SPOILERS: Jaina and Jag's budding relationship... Interesting to say the least. Though I don't want the NJO to become a Soap Opera I would like to see where this leads. And Tenenial Djo... sad to see her go. Curse Ta'a Chume! But I liked that Tenel Ka was so ready to take her mother's place, despite her never being one to like politics. Back to the New Jedi Order Era. Back to Star Wars Eras.
