Dark Nest III: The Swarm War by: Troy Denning |
|
Summary: The Chiss-Killik border war is threatening to engulf the entire galaxy -- raising the awful specter of the Killik sweeping across space to absorb all living creatures into a single hive mind. The only hope for peace lies with the Jedi - who must not only end the bloodshed between two fierce enemies but also combat the insidious evil spread by the elusive Dark Nest and its unseen queen. Leia's Jedi skills will be put to the ultimate test in the coming life-and-death battle. As for Luke, he will have to prove, in a lithning display of Force strength and swordplay, that he is -- beyond a shadow of a doubt -- the greatest Jedi Master in the galaxy. Review: Good: We get to see Luke at his best. He, like Yoda in the time of the Old Republic, is indeed The Master. I loved this series and was overjoyed to get to see how it all ended. I can't wait for the next story in the Legacy series. Bad: Jacen is still toeing the line... he seems to be pushing the limits of the Jedi Code. Seems almost uncharacteristic, but Luke seems to be getting through to him a little. SPOILERS: Alanna, that's the kid's name. I'm happy to know this. And it was good to see Lomi Plo finally go down. Sad about Alema but she brought it on herself. And what about Raynar? Will he ever be saved? I hope so. Back to the New Jedi Order Era. Back to Star Wars Eras. |
