Elsa's Page
Elsa came from the same nasty pet store as Togo, Angel and Chloe. We stopped in as usual to see if there was anything there we could help. We saw a large tank with baby ball pythons in it. Most of them were very dehydrated under fed and near death, covered with mites and skin from bad sheds. Some of the babies had no control over their body movements at all. We saw one out of the bunch that wasn't as bad as the others but would have been in another couple of days I'm sure. We took her out and held her, she could move well and was very sweet. She too had mites but we knew we could take care of that as well as giving her proper husbandry and nutrition. We paid the $20.00 for her and took her home, we would have taken the whole lot home but the others were just too far gone. Two days later we went back and they were gone (we didn't ask where they went because we knew). When Elsa came home we put together a nice tank and treated it with provent-a-mite, gave her water with vitamin suppliments, a heating pad underneath the tank and a light above. She was kept this way for a while in quarantine from the rest of our snakes. She is now 8 months old and thriving, very sweet(loves to be held) and the picture of health.
