The Little Ribbon
His beloved basket where he sleeps every night!
A safe vantage point for "peeking".
This little fellow is not a rescue but rather an adoption. On a recent outing to our local firehall to play Bingo ~ a friend of ours got to talking "snakes" with us. She said she had this little Ribbon snake at the house. It belonged to her daughter and had been a Valentine's Day Gift! The girls have grown and in their busy household, the little guy was not as big a deal as he used to be. We all mutually decided it would be great if the little Ribbon snake came to live with us. He is a fascinating, cute little snake. The family had him in a huge natural vivarium with all kinds of interesting wood pieces, stones, silk plants and this wonderful twig braided hanging basket. It is his refuge and he is regularly in there and sleeps in it at night! It is the funniest thing to see. He is a hearty eater...downing from one to five goldfish at a shot! He is an unusual aqua blue color and very pretty. We are happy to have him.
