Aaaah so you clicked the right button. I guess you wanted to know if Jesus really is inside. Well of course He is. Chances are He may even be inside of you too. These are just a few of my thoughts on life, love, religion, and whatever else.. You don't have to agree with or like them and you can feel free to leave at anytime. Feel free to post any comments you have as well using the links at the bottom of the page. Other ReligionsWell it would be nice if all men could share my faith but such is not the case. I have yet to meet anyone of any religion heretical or not who didn’t think that their way was the “right” way. Now the last time I checked the Hindu veras, the Muslim suras, the Jewish prophets, the Christian apostles, all had a variation of this phrase in their text, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." If you think this is in error, thoroughly check the holy book of your choice and get back to me. Why do I bring this up? Well because if you think that you (or your group) and you only have the only way to truth and enlightenment you might be wrong. Like I said earlier if it were up to me each man would share my faith. But it is not up to me to decide those things. Only the Father knows where every man is at and where every man needs to be so let Him tend to that. That being said we can get into something a wee bit more controversial. Scroll down and take your pick. Law and CovenantFirst Covenant and Law are not the same thing. To get this out of the way we’ll take a look at our Mariam-Websters unabridged brand spanking new for the millennium online dictionary. Click on Covenant and Law. Okay now that you’ve done that you should be able to see how very different the two are. A lot of Christians go, “Oh we don’t have to do that Old Testament stuff we’re under a New Covenant.” They are very right in saying that they are under a New Covenant. They would also be right in saying we are not bound by, to, or under the law for our salvation because Christ took care of that for us on the Cross. The Law however never changed and just as it was then it is still good to follow the Law. Christ gave some specific instructions before He gave the two greatest commands at the sermon on the mount and one does not negate the other. Math 5 (KJV)
Now if you click on fulfill up there you get the idea that the word means to meet the requirement of, to convert into reality, to comply with, to enact, or to put into effect. Many of us like to think of it though as “end” which in my opinion isn’t the most accurate use of the word. Here is an example sentence. Husbands, you are to fulfill your duty to your wives. Actually if a husband or wife were fulfilling their duties it would be an ongoing thing. You have to really think if we were not to keep these commandments why would Christ give such a stern warning about men who teach others not to do so and an apparent blessing for those who keep and teach others to keep them? Let’s look at another verse before the sermon on the mount. Math 19 (KJV)
Many Christians go, “Oh that’s the 10 commandments they’re talking about I keep those.” Read verse 19 Thou shalt love thy neighbour… I don’t remember (you can check that though) that last part being in the 10 commandments but it is in Lev 19 so it’s fairly safe to assume that commandments is commandments. So now everyone is wondering and just dying to sign my guestbook asking me if I keep the commandments. There are 613 to be exact 248 (bones in the body) though shalls and 365 (days in a year) though shall nots. I couldn’t keep all 613 of them if I tried. But I do try. This is the way I look at it. There are probably more laws than that on the books in the U.S. in your state and in your city. You don’t know them but you probably haven’t broken most of them if you’re not a felon. How is this and how does this apply to Law as in the bible. Well through the power of Christ and the Holy Spirit that lives within you following the law becomes a consequence rather than a requirement of your actions. Back to the top Homosexuality/Heterosexuality I’ve ran into a couple of“gay Christians” if there is such a thing. They usually start with a bit about New Covenant dead Old Law blah blah blah. See above on Law and Covenant. Well without even touching a bit of Levitical law I’ll say that fornication is fornication whether it’s gay or straight. 1Cor 6 (KJV)
So now we’re left with the question of what is fornication. Now that you’ve clicked on the word and found out what it is no matter how we try to slice it no matter how you try to dice it it is what it is.Which I almost forgot to mention is a sin. Back to the top TithingThis personally for many years had been (yet another) one of my own problem areas. I'm not going to go into a big drawn out explanation on why you should tithe. I'll just give you some food for thought. Malachi 3 (KJV)
Now that right there sounds to me like the Pespi challenge™ to me. Exodus 25 (KJV)
So if your heart prompts you to give then give. If your heart doesn't than don't
