"Portage County residents turned out en masse Wednesday night, Oct. 11, for a dance on the new Clark Street bridge, which opened to traffic the following morning. Norm Dombrowski and the Happy Notes provided the music, including the "Chicken Dance" which drew dancers out to the ‘floor.’"
