Dynasty Warriors 2

So, what is so good about Dynasty Warriors 2 (a.k.a. Shin Sangokumosou 2)? Is it the graphics? No, it is not the graphics. Is it the sound? No, it is not the sound. Is it the controls? Once again, no, it is not the controls. So, what makes Dynasty Warriors 2 so great? It is the gameplay. The gameplay in Dynasty Warriors is so addictive it will keep you hooked for days on end. It is one of those games that is fun to watch as well as play. Some people think that DW2 is the greatest game to meet the PS2 yet. If you play it, you would know why people come to such conclusions. In Dynasty Warriors 2, Koei has taken Chinese historical mythology and made it come alive into an all out war. In Dynasty Warriors 2, you choose a hero based on Chinese mythology and use your hero to lead your dynasty’s army into battle. As the hero, you battle enemy troops and join with friendly troops to give the enemy a spanking they will never forget. Each hero has special moves, combos, and weapons to lay the smack down on the opposing forces. When you climb up on a horse, you can ride it into a throng of enemy troops and send them flying all over the screen. A part of the fun is watching your enemies fly all over the screen from the agonizing sword and spear blows given. DW2 can process over 50 men on a screen without one second of slowdown. However, in some parts, it has a minor case of slowdown, which is hardly noticeable and lasts for no more than a split-second. The disappearance of slowdown is a major accomplishment for Koei, since the game looked like it was being played in slow-motion at the E3 demo. If you played the demo, you would give Koei truck loads of credit for the vast improvement.
