Somehow I lost my last journal entry -- well, didn't lose it, but saved this one in its place, which doesn't make any sense to me, since I entered a new file name and everything ... sometimes I just don't get this computer stuff. So, anyway, if you're looking for my Tony rant (which was awfully negative, and probably no one wanted to read it anyway ... :-), it's gone. Kaput. No more. Hmmmmmm.

So last night we went to see Runaway Bride. What an awesome movie!!! I have to admit that I was a little disappointed with Notting Hill when we went to see it last month (although Hugh Grant is still as delicious as ever), so I thought two Julia Roberts movies in the same summer might be a bit much. But this movie is hilarious - much better than Notting Hill. And Richard Gere has minor obsession status written all over him. :-) Now I need to watch Pretty Woman again. Although I do think this one is even better than Pretty Woman. And Hector Elizondo -- what a cutie!!!

I also got the new Broadway cast recording of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown last week, and I *love* it! It is totally fluff, but fluff in a good way. I am *so* kicking myself now for not seeing it when I was in New York, but at the time seeing Rex and SP for a second time, when I knew it was closing, was more important! Of course, now YAGMCB has closed, but them's the breaks, I guess. But the CD is awesome. I especially like Kristen Chenowith as Sally (and so did a lot of other people, or so I've heard! :-), and B.D. Wong as Linus, but the entire cast is wonderful. Based soley on the CDs (I know, I know, you're not supposed to do this) I would absolutely have given the Best Revival Tony to YAGMCB over Annie Get Your Gun. But I guess I shouldn't really say that, since I haven't seen either show. :-)

This journal hasn't been updated in forver because there's nothing happening in my life right now! I get up, watch my soaps, go to work, come home, go to bed, get up, watch my soaps, go to work ... it's a never ending cycle. I did get a short visit to Ottawa last week to visit my aunt and do some shopping. We also stopped into the National Gallery, where I haven't been for years, and that was cool. There was a Van Gogh exhibit on, which we thought would be kind of cool, until after we paid the ten dollars each and discovered that it was *eight* paintings. However, you could also get into another exhibit on an artist named Daumier, whom I had never heard of, but whose work I liked a *lot*. So it was all good. And I got to fulfill my Group of Seven longing which comes on me every now and then, so I was happy. And today I'm dog-sitting. My aunt and uncle are in the process of moving from Montreal to Detroit, and they asked my grandparents to take care of their dog, Maggie, for a couple of months while they got the moving done. Well, Maggie had no sooner recovered from that trauma than my grandparents turned around and went away for a week, and left Maggie with us. She arrived this morning, and hasn't left my side since. The poor thing is so afraid I'm going to desert her too. Regular visitors to my page (and friends of mine) will know that we had to have our dog put to sleep three months ago, and how much I miss her, and I had forgotten how nice it is to have a dog around the house. Although Maggie's a bit bigger than our Tara was. Like, four times her size. :-)

Anyway, General Hospital is on, and Jax finally has a storyline, so I'm going to go watch it. Look for updates coming soon, I swear, as soon as I work up the energy. I'm feeling some major redesign coming on too. Whether that works out or not is another story. :-)
