Height:
6'4"
Weight:
240 lbs.
Character Trademark/Gimmick:
Curt's whole purpose is his driven intensity for championship gold .... but mostly to simply be the very 'Best of the Best'. You could say he's a combination of Triple H and Kurt Angle, with a past arrogance of Shane Douglas and the late Curt Hennig, a man Curt looked up to in the past. He has never let Nothing or No one ever define who he is. Although Evans has had some of the most violent matches in the history of the IWA and VWF, Curt isn't into random violence, unlike what he seems to cause. Everything Curt does is for a purpose, whether it be now, or months down the road, he'll plan it all out, right down to the smallest detail. It's said that Curt Evans is a very wealthy man, a fact that he openly admits to, but he also acknowledges the fact that he has EARNED Everything he has, and he's not afraid to admit that he worked from the very bottom all the way to the top to get it. He's VERY proud of his nationality as a Canadian. So much so, that he's caused promotional wide feuds over it. There are times he lives to piss the fans off, and times where he act's in the interest of the fans. Whatever causes Curt's motivation, only he and wife Maxine Baibe will know .... and some people don't even think Maxine knows.
Wrestling Style:
'Japanese Strong Style'
Curt likes to use a fast pace, hard hitting hardcore style of Technical and Submissive wrestling that he learned and mastered during his years wrestling in Japan. Although Curt's primarily a mat-based Technical/Submissive wrestler, this style allows him to occasionally use a few selected High Risk moves such as -- in Curt's case -- the Olympic/Angle Slam off Top Rope, Diving Elbow Drop, Senton Bomb, Diving Leg Drop Bulldog, Diamond Dust or even the Tope Con Hilo when needed.

Trademark Maneuver Name:
"Big Money" Super Kick
Description:
Super Kick/Thurst Kick
A Superkick is the name used when referring to a high side thrust kick attack in professional wrestling, which sees Curt Evans use the sole of the foot to strike his opponent's head or chin, usually preceded by a sidestep, often referred to as a Crescent Kick, or just a Side kick. Evans likes to call it his 'Big Money' Superkick as he claims that "Everytime I nail someone with it, Big Money ALWAYS comes my way!"
Trademark Maneuver Name:
5 Star Slam
Description:
Side Slam/Rock Bottom
This move is commonly referred to as an ura-nage slam, or simply ura-nage. Curt stands face to face with his opponent, slightly to their side. Evans then tucks his head under his opponent's near arm, reaches across his opponent's chest and around their neck with his near arm, and places his other arm against their back. Curt then lifts his opponent up and falls forward, either flat on his chest or his knees, slamming his opponent down to the mat back first.
Trademark Name:
'Tap Out'
Description:
The Gogoplata
The Gogoplata is a unique submission that is executed from a guard. Specifically, it is usually executed from a "rubber guard," where the legs are held very high, against Curt Evans' opponent's upper back. Curt would then slip one foot in front of his opponent's head and under his chin, locking his hands behind his opponent's head, and chokes his opponent by pressing his shin or instep against his opponent's trachea. However, Curt uses a modified version, where he just pushes the shin into the throat of his opponent in the exact same manner, instead of grabbing his toes and pulling towards himself. The Undertaker has began using a variation of this hold as a finisher lately, although it is a chokehold.
Trademark/Finisher Name:
'Lights Out/Canadian Clutch'
Description:
Reverse STO followed into a Koji Clutch
Well known as the Reverse STO, this is a move in which Curt Evans stands side-to-side and slightly behind with his opponent, facing in the opposite direction, and reaches around his opponent's torso with one arm across his opponent's chest with his hand holding onto his other hand which is behind his opponent's head. Curt then falls backward, driving his opponent into the mat face-first. Curt occasionally uses a variation which has been recently introduced in TNA by Judas Mesias and in the WWE by Shelton Benjamin, involving Curt running towards his opponent and then leaps before grabbing his opponent and then driving his opponent's face into the mat, hitting the reverse STO. After Curt Evans nails his opponent with the Reverse STO and his opponent is laying face down on the mat, Evans lies face up and slightly to the side of his opponent. Curt then hooks his far leg across the neck of his opponent and then hooks his hands behind his opponent's head, having one arm pass over their own leg and the other under. Curt then pulls backwards with his arms and pushes forward with his leg, causing pressure. Evans has learned how to nail this devastating combo with surprising quickness and from a variety of positions and has mastered it in terms of HOW to lock it on and making it the most effective.
Trademark/Finisher Name:
Ankle-lock Submission
Description:
Ankle-Lock Submission
Curt will grab his opponent's foot and lift their leg off the ground. Then with one hand, he'll grab his opponent's toes or outside of foot, and with the other wrap around the ankle and through the "hole" created and grab his own wrist, Essentially putting his opponent's ankle in a Key Lock as Curt will bend his opponent's ankle. A variation of this move is the grapevine ankle lock, in which Evans will apply the hold, falls to the mat and scissors the leg of his opponent. This stops his opponent from rolling out of the move and makes it harder for him/her to crawl to the ropes.
Finisher Name:
Diamond Driver
Description:
A.J. Styles 'Styles Clash' Piledriver/Pedigree
From a position in which his opponent is bent forward against Curt's midsection, Evans grabs around his opponent's midsection and lifts so that his opponent is held upside down, facing in the same direction as Curt. Evans then hooks both arms of his opponent using his legs, and then falls forward planting his opponent's body into the mat face-first. The move often sees Curt keep his legs hooked under the arms of his opponent after hitting the move, using the underhooking technique to turn the opponent on to their back into a Rana-style pinning position.
Finisher Name:
Irresistible Ending
Description:
'Cutter'
In professional wrestling a Cutter is a common term which refers to the three-quarter facelock bulldog maneuver. The move is also described as an inverted neckbreaker. More commonly known as the Diamond Cutter. Curt Evans prefers to hit this as a counter to a clothesline or a arm strike to catch his opponent off-guard as he'll block the attempted move and swing his opponent back around the other direction. Curt occasionally uses a modified version of the move in which he jumps high enough to be both parallel to the ground and level with his opponent's head, before catching them in the face lock (often using only one arm for the face lock).

Curt will sometimes use a Neck Screw version of this, suplexing his opponent off the ground, to drap his opponent's legs on the top ring rope so that they are face-down while Curt holds them in a front facelock, keeping their heads side by side under each other shoulder, making Evans the only other thing than the ring ropes keeping his opponent off the ground. At this point Curt Evans swings inward as he dives to the ground, twisting on the opponent's neck and in the process lifting his opponent's entire body off the rope, driving their neck and shoulders into the ground. )
    • Shinning Wizard

This also refers to Curt's leg hitting his opponent's throat in a standard leg drop. )
    • Sit-out Side Powerslam
(Description: Curt lifts his opponent up on his left shoulder like in a Front powerslam. Evans then wraps his right arm around his opponent's neck, and the left arm around his opponent's torso. • Tope Con Hilo
(Description: Possibly one of the most spectacular dives in Professional Wrestling. Curt Evans screams 'SUPERSTAR/ROCK STAR' with virtually every facet of his being while maintaining a unique Hollywood appeal with his charming good looks. Evans keeps a certain look and aura about himself that differentiates him from every other Professional Wrestler in the sport today with a style similar to that of Jared Leto of '30 Seconds to Mars' fame. Curt has an arrogant, sometimes cocky smirk, something he isn't afraid to flash to garner attention or hatred. While his body is toned and well defined (think Shane Douglas circa '97 - '98), Facially, Evans strongly resembles Ken Kennedy but Curt's blond hair has been growing off and on -- from short and clean cut to shoulder length -- over the past few years or so and finally, Evans is content with it cut short really short, occasionally messy and disheveled - but never unattractive. Unlike His hair; the cold, blue eyes of Evans haven't changed. The steady, conviction-filled eyes of Curt Evans, his most prominent facial feature. His left brow is pierced with a bar in it and His bottom lip remains pierced as well, with a silver hoop worn on the left side of his lip.

Curt also has a tattoo arm band on his left arm of barbed wire and a thorn vine intertwined with a silver celtic cross dangling from it, all linked together with the initials "MB", "CE" & "ME" on it, representing the initials of his name, Maxine Baibe's and their son's, Marcus. Curt also has a red and black designed signature tribal tattoo on his upper back extending down along the underside of his arms to his elbows. Evans recently received two new tattoo's, a barcode/Straight Edge combination in tribute to his straight edge beliefs, and on his Upper Right Arm, It's a Thebian Pentacle/Pentagram similar to the one found in Thebes, Egypt to celebrate 10 years to being clean and sober and his journey to get to such a state.

[RING ATTIRE] -
Curt Evans keeps to traditional red and black wrestling trunks, with a similar tribal design as his back going along the sides. The standard Curt Evans wrestling apparel is also still present, consisting of black knee pads and strapped yet traditional black boots. Evans also tapes up his wrists and hands in black athletic tape.

As for his ring entrance attire, Curt enters with a black towel draped over his head, like Tazz used to do in his ECW days and wears a black leather vest with his logo, of a combination of a Skull and a Double Canadian Maple Leaf in front of a Orange sun (like THIS) on the back. Underneath, He wears a sleeveless cut Evans t-shirt similar in design to Randy Orton's but with the same symbol on the back and the term "Nice Guys Always Finish LAST", with the word 'LAST" in huge block letters. Curt usually quickly removes and tosses his in ring t-shirts to the crowd.

The lights in the arena slowly - one by one - die out as the sound of helicopters blades slowing down could be heard through-out the arena until the is nothing; just darkness. A buzz falls over the rabid audience that cuts through the unnerving stillness like a knife. Finally - suddenly - the crowd hears the pulsating intro of "Lock The Cage" by Obsidian hits and the fans go crazy. Then, With every pulse of the song's intro, a series of bright blinding white lights flash in time. Violently, the songs pulsating intro kicks into the hammering of guitars as wind and smoke chaotically collect, swirl and clash on the entrance stage.

From the "O" tunnel, we see a figure emerge from the mayhem. It's the one and Only Curt Evans. With his black towel draped over his head (like Tazz used to wear), the 'Extreme Franchise Player' finds his way center stage amidst the smoke and wind. Love him or hate him, the fans go nuts for Evans; chanting his name in deafening unison. The unzipped ring jacket flaps wildly in the wind as Evans stands and soaks in the atmosphere between the boisterous, vocal fans and the on-stage calamity.

Curt Evans calmly looks out over the crowd, taking a drink from his bottle of water. Then at the right moment of the song, he spits out the water from underneath the towel before he finally steps forth from the smoke and wind on the entrance stage and makes his way down to ringside. Curt Evans walks steady and determined towards the ring in a strong, powerful stride, ignoring the fans. ... those who can see his face under the black towel covering his head can see a focused look etched on his face.

Once at ringside, he takes a final drink of his water, tosses it away and climbs up onto the ring apron, looking out over the crowd. The flashing with lights - almost strobe-like - surround and overtake the ring with a pale bluish spotlight focuses on Evans alone as Curt stands center stage and whips off his head towel, spitting out the water in the air before he again spits what's left at the crowd, as - simultaneously - the lights in the arena return to normal and Curt raises his Arms in the air in victory, as he holds up his black head towel in the other.

From there, Evans looks into the camera, and starts trash talking his opponent, slowly raking a thumb across his throat, indicating that his opponent is now 'Dead' before Evans enters the ring and climbs to the top rope out stretching his arms in the air in victory ala Randy Orton before spitting out and swatting away his chewing gum in mid-air into the crowd much like Curt Hennig used to do. Once He's done his trash talking, He stands in his corner, staring down his opponent, awaiting the beginning of the match.

In his 16th, going on 17 years in wrestling, Curt Evans has wrestled all over the World, 1st learning how to wrestle in Scully's Gynm in Toronto and then in the Hart Bro's Wrestling Camp outside of Calgary. Evans was a homeless street kid who's smart's got him off the streets and into a VERY successful business man, owning several major companies. But Wrestling was in Evans Blood. He has gone on to win several major championships around the World including many in the UWF, where is currently wrestles in.

He started out in the Old Unifed Wrestling Federation (UWF) in '90 and won his 1st title, the Canadian Championship from Vic Steamboat, starting his 1st ever major feud which lasted for almost 2 years with Evans getting the upper hand time & time again. From there, nothing stopped his determination in winning the International, North American and the short lived Euroasian championshiip eventually retiring it. He became it's World Champion in a 15 man Double ring War Games Elimination match defeating Long time rivial King Of Sting.

After awhile, He Arrived in the IWA (Imaginary Wrestling Assoccation), starting in the SCL league Although he was NOT successful in the SCL League, he went on to win many championships in several leagues which, in turn helped him win 3 Federational titles (2 Jade and 1 Diamond), the European, the International, and the Asiatic title 5 times (Asia has been really good to Curt). Curt however was most famous for two things, none of which involved any championships at all in the IWA. The 1st time it was when he started the U.S./Canadian wars, 5 years before Bret Hart and his Hart Foundation did it in the WWF, now known as the WWE. Evans was imbroiled in a bitter feud with a man name Dirty Ace Slaughter, who Curt nick-named "Dumb Dunce Slaughter". After a grueling match, Evans attacked Slaughter with a chair, repeatedly smashing it over him. Bloodied and dazed, Evans then threw some sort of acid at Slaughter. As he writhered in pain, Evans took his U.S. flag and began to tear it up in pieces on Ace and spat on him and the flag as he left him. This act alone started a War between U.S. and Canadian wrestlers that still rages to this day. IWA Prez Johnny B. suspended Evans for 2 months for this one act but more was sure to come. Years later, his 2nd most important match came about. Evans was imbrioled in a bitter and bloody feud with IWA Legend Johnny Rotten between the Old World League and the European League over the European Championship. Evans had beaten Rotten once which angered Rotten, who considered Curt "just to be a lucky young punk". Their feud climaited at a Joint European PPV named Mid-evil Turmiol in which the two face-off in the 1st ever "Canadian Death Match", A steel Cage which was wrapped in Barbed Wire while both were linked by a chain. The two beat the living crap out of each other with Evans prevailing with a pinfall win after a "Diamond Driver" off the top of the Cage thru two tables lit on fire. This match was the introduction of the Hardcore and Extreme style to the IWA and is STILL talked about to this day. Evans however was always just shy of winning the IWA World title, which furstrated Evans to no end.

After taking some time off, he arrived in the World Chaotic Championship Wrestling (WCCW) and became it's 1st ever WCCW Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion. After a year of defending the title almost non-stop, the WCCW folded, thus retiring the title.

With-out a Job, Evans headed over to the Viking Wrestling Federation (VWF). Evans made a name for himself here in the E-Wrestling world and is the only person who can say that they had his way with the VWF Legend and Franchise, The Viking King, with their last match together being one of the bloodiest and most violent ever witnessed in the VWF. Evans 1st championship came with surprise as he helped old IWA Rivial/Stable-mate King Of Sting and became VWF Tag Team champion, but turned on him in their 1st title defense. A couple of weeks later, Evans won a 10 man Submission Battle Royal to become VWF European champion. Evans has also become the 1st man to win two championships at the same time on a major VWF PPV, beating Diamond Dogg and former training partner Edge (breaking Edge's leg in the process) winning both the VWF Intercontinental and United States title. He has also won the 2001 Royal Rumble after everyone targeted him, not giving him a chance but he Guarentee'd a win and win the Royal Rumble, despite everyone's effort to eliminate him, he did. Evans FINALLY won the VWF World Title at Aftershock against then champion Mike Awesome and MC 7evenz in a Best 2 out of 3 Falls No interference match. Awesome and MC had each a fall but came back, pinning MC in two straight falls but thanks to the no interference clause he had demanded before the Royal Rumble if he won the Rumble, had Owner Vince McMahon fired for his interference as McMahon tried to help Awesome retain the title. Curt vacated the championship on Sept. 23rd for personal reasons.
