Herman came to the Hardrock family of dals through our rescue program.  I had received a call from a person who wanted to get rid of his Dalmatian because he was moving and could not take the dog.  This man was the dog's second home, as the dog was a Humane Society resident who had been 'rescued'.  At the time, the dog's name was 'Lucky' and on that day he really was a lucky dog.

I called up Dante's owner, Arthur, who was interested in getting a new playmate for Dante.  We went down to look at 'Lucky' and he and Arthur instantly bonded.  'Lucky' went home with Arthur that evening and within the week became Dante's new best friend with a new name, Hermann.

Hermann loves to run in the park and meet new dogs.  He has since added a new best friend to his circle, a park buddy who oddly enough is named Lucky!
