The Norwegian Titles
When "Forlagshuset A/S" introduced the Hardy Boys in Norway, new books were printed rather often. For some of the years in the early and mid part of the fifties, four or five books were issued each year. For some of these the original title was just translated into Norwegian, but for some the title was completely changed. In some cases to a title that has a clear connection to the mystery in the book, but there are examples of titles that just were supposed to sound dramatic or exciting in the buyers ears. Here follows a list that shows how the Norwegian title turned out to be for each book. When the title was directly translated, I haven't written anything under "Translated title". If you find any of the translations funny, don't take it too seriously. They are directly and literally translated from Norwegian. Yes! The lost files are finally back where they belong. During the move to my new server quite a few of the covers from #39 upwards disappeared of some mysterious reason. I thought I had the files somewhere, and at last they re-emerged, almost out of nowhere. Now you can check out the cover art of the titles 1-91 and 94, but the rest (92,93 and 95 upwards) are still not available.
