Technically, Denmark were the outgoing European Champions at the time of this groundhopping, and AGF Aarhus have won the Danish league five times. But, don't come here expecting a hotbed of football.

The Aarhus Gymastik Forening is basically an athletic stadium where they play football. As such, it suffers from having a running track around the perimeter and the consequent lack of atmosphere. Having said that, it's a pleasant enough stadium in a very leafy suburb of this charming Danish city.

Come to Aarhus for jazz and vikings, not for football.
