Division One
Portsmouth v Charlton Athletic

Portsmouth 2 (Durnin, Bradbury)
Charlton Athletic 0

Att
: 6,641 at Fratton Park, Portsmouth.

After the Tranmere fiasco (both on and off the field, see my Wales-Holland report for more details) it was back down to Fratton for another chance to see Pompey in action in a game Pompey were really expected to win. In fact, Pompey deserved to win, because Charlton wore really their horrible green, white and blue away strip. As it turned out, Pompey were well below par, but Charlton were a lot worse and a comfortable 2-0 win eventually ensued.
