Heart Of Glass
By Bekka Mouri
(Disclaimer! You know
the drill! This one’s a bit hot!)
Bekka sat up in the bed, looking out the window. Tim hadn’t come back the day before and she was sure she had scared him away. She hadn’t meant to be so forward with him but he had healed her broken body. She had to thank him somehow and the kiss seemed right at the time.
She had tried to distract herself by trying to recall her life before her accident that she didn’t remember having. She called up a few names but couldn’t place them. She assumed that she had met the people they belonged to in the harem. She sighed, shaking her head, losing hope that she would ever remember anything on her own.
A knock at her door caught her attention. A handsomely odd looking man stood there, a small bouquet of flowers in his hand. He wore a nick dark green shirt and tight black jeans. “ I came as soon as I heard. I just got back from some things I needed to take care of. “
“ Do I know you? “ Bekka blinked.
“ Of course you know me, “ The man walked in, shutting the door a little bit behind him. “ I am Sekhmet. I rescued you from King Zarkon when you first came here. “
Bekka’s eyes brightened, “ I think I remember your name. I’m sorry, but I lost my memory after an accident. That’s all Sarah will really tell me. She has also told me that I am on my way to becoming a member of the harem. “
Sekhmet put the flowers down and sat on the bed. He took Bekka’s hand in his and looked deep into her eyes, “ They didn’t tell me that. All I know about is the accident. “
“ You know? “ Bekka looked deep into the man’s strange eyes. One moment, they looked like they were the whitest pale blue and the next they looked like they were only pupils. “ They won’t tell me anything about it. What do you know? “
Sekhmet looked away for a moment, “ I have heard many things but I am not sure that it is right to tell you. “
“ It was MY accident so you can tell me, “ Bekka pleaded.
Sekhmet shook his head, “ There are two stories and I don’t know which one is true. “
“ Tell me both of them, “ Bekka grasped Sekhmet’s hand in both of hers. “ I need to know. “
“ One story says that you jumped and another says that you were thrown. I have not heard all of the details, “ Sekhmet looked away from her as he spoke.
“ Oh. I don’t remember what happened at all but I don’t think I would jump. Not unless my old life was THAT bad. If so, I don’t care if I ever recall it. “
Sekhmet placed his other hand over hers, “ For your sake, I hope it wasn’t that bad. “
“ How long did you know me when the accident happened? “ Bekka asked.
“ Like I said, I rescued you from Zarkon and deposited you with Lotor shortly afterward. I would say we were together all of five minutes. I did promise to come and see you when you were initiated though. “
Bekka looked him over again. He was quite handsome and wondered if she had promised to sleep with him once she was a full-fledged harem member. She took in a sharp breath as he kissed her hand. “ Can I ask you something else? “
“ Anything, “ Sekhmet pressed the back of her hand against his cheek.
“ I didn’t promise myself to you, did I? “
Sekhmet kissed her hand again, “ No. I promised myself to you. “

Tim sat up and looked over at his
sister. She had taken his pain away so
he could see his ladylove. He sighed,
knowing that Bekka would not remember him except for meeting the day
before. No one was sure when or if her
memory would ever come back.
He swung his legs out of the bed
and stood carefully. His body throbbed
a little from the stiffness of his limbs.
Aly had taken away a good deal of his pain but a little remained. He made his way to the door and opened it
carefully, not wanting to disturb her rest.
He wrapped
an arm around his ribs, trying to keep them from moving. He had hurt the tree pretty hard when
Hermaeus kicked him and was quite for sure they were a little more than
bruised. Aly had taken most of the pain
from them but he didn’t want to injure himself further.
He couldn’t
really heal himself technically. It
would drain his body and undo any healing that could have been possible. That was the problem with being able to heal
others: You couldn’t heal yourself. He
could heal himself if he could get a hold of healing potion; that wouldn't
drain his powers.
He looked down the hall. Bekka’s room was at the other end and it
would take some time for him to get there.
He grabbed the handrail and took each step slowly. He didn’t care when he got there, as long as
he did.
**
Bekka
revealed in the weight of the man above her.
He had kissed almost every inch of her body from the waist up. Sekhmet had explained to her it would take a
long time for him to be ready to love her but she didn’t care. His cool flesh felt good on hers as he moved
along her body slowly.
Every so
once in awhile, he would come back to her mouth, kissing her deep and
slow. Since she couldn’t call to mind
any other experiences, it felt like she was being loved for the first time. He was being extra gently because she was
still a bit bruised up from her fall.
She giggled a little as his hands slid below her waist.
**
Tim got to
Bekka’s door, finding it slightly closed.
~She must be asleep,~ He thought, easing it open. He looked down to the floor as he stepped
inside. When he looked up, he wished
that he hadn’t. There was a man with
wild green hair and pale skin on top of Bekka, both of them really enjoying
each other’s company.
He stared in
shock, feeling his heart crumble as he watched, neither of them aware of his
presence. He slowly backed out of the
room, pulling the door shut. As he
slowly trudged back down the hall, he saw Sarah. ~I can’t tell her about this!~
“ Tim! What are you doing out of bed? “ Sarah
crossed her arms over her chest. “ You
should still be hurting. “
“ Aly took
my pain away magically, “ Tim looked away, feeling tears coming to his eyes.
Sarah looked
in the direction Tim had come from and grinned, “ You went to go see her,
didn’t you? How sweet… “
Tim squeezed
his eyes shut, trying to hold the tears back.
~Only if Sarah knew,~ He tried not to look at the woman.
“ You two
make such a cute couple, “ Sarah gushed, then looked at Tim. She saw a trail of moisture travel down his
cheek as he kept his eyes shut tightly.
“ Tim! What’s wrong? Are you in pain? “
~More than
you could imagine,~ He thought and shook his head, “ Just a pang but it passed.
“
“ Let me go
help you to your room… “ Sarah placed a gentle hand on his waist.
Tim shook
his head, “ No. I can make it on my
own. Now, let me go. “
Sarah took
her hand away, “ If you say so. “
**
Bekka was
amazed that both she and Sekhmet could fit in the hospital but they did. She ran her fingers through his hair as he
rested his head on her shoulder, a contented smile on his face. “ That was pretty nice, “ Bekka whispered,
stroking his cheek with her fingertips.
“ Thank you,
“ Sekhmet murmured, pulling her closer to him.
Her warm body warmed his cold blood and he could not get enough of it.
“ I just
came to check on you… “ Sarah pushed the door open, her smile suddenly fading
into a look of shock and disbelief. “
Sekhmet! Bekka? “
“ What? “
Bekka let Sekhmet go as he pulled away from her. “ Did I do something that I shouldn’t have? “
“ I hate to
do this to you but could you please leave, Sekhmet? I need to talk to Bekka alone, “ Sarah looked at him. ~Now I know why Tim looked like he did when
I saw him! This is all wrong!~
Sekhmet
kissed Bekka quickly and slid out of the bed.
He got his clothes back on quickly.
He kissed her once more before walking to the door. He turned and smiled, “ I’ll be seeing you
again. “
Sarah glared
at him and he left. Once he was gone,
she shut the door and turned to Bekka.
Bekka was still puzzled at why Sarah looked slightly annoyed. She tied her hospital gown and said, “
What’s wrong, Sarah? “
Sarah took a
deep breath, “ Bekka, I know you don’t remember this but there is someone who
loves you dearly. He saw you with
Sekhmet and I fear it has broken his heart. “
Bekka
blinked, “ I had someone before the accident? “
Sarah
sighed, “ Well, there was someone who had very deep crush on you. “
“ Oh
no! If had known, I would have never… “
Bekka placed her hand on her forehead, “ Tell me, who was it? Is it someone I have met? “
“ Yes. Matter of fact, you kissed him just
yesterday. “
“ I only
kissed one person yesterday, “ Bekka whispered.
Sarah
nodded, “ Tim. “
“ Tim?! “
Bekka looked up. “ Oh gods, what have I
done? “
**
Aly cracked
her eyes open as Tim stumbled back into the room. She could sense his was in despair over something. “ Bro?
What’s wrong? “
Tim lay down
on the bed, “ Nothing. “
“ Don’t tell
me that! Didn’t you go see Bekka? “ Aly
opened her eyes a little more.
“ I did, “
Tim sighed, fighting more tears back.
“ Was she asleep?
“
Tim shook
his head, “ No, far from it. Damn it,
Al! How could I have been so stupid? “
“ Back up, “
Aly looked puzzled, “ Stupid about what? “
“ You know
what. How could I think that she would
still love me as if nothing had changed?
How could I be so foolish to think that it meant something when she
kissed me yesterday? “
Aly
struggled to push herself up, “ What are you talking about, Tim? “
“ She kissed
me yesterday, Aly! I thought she liked
me! “
“ I’m not
following you, “ Aly shook her head slowly.
Tim forced
himself up; “ She was in bed with another man when I went to go see her, Al!
“ Aly was speechless as she watched her
brother start to cry. “ I am such an
idiot! “ Tim slammed his fist down into the mattress, “ I just want her back,
Aly! I want her to remember me! “
“ But Tim, “
Aly whispered, “ None of us know if she will ever be herself again. After what that Daedra did to her, she is
lucky to be alive. “
“ Can’t you
do something? “ Tim glared at his sister.
“ Isn’t there something you can do to bring her memories back? I want her back! “
“ We all do,
Tim! “ Aly shouted.
Tim’s eyes
glowed, “ Then do something for her! If
anybody could, I know you would be the one, Aly! “
Aly was
silent, weighing the possibilities out in her mind. Bekka had a horrible life and would probably be better off not
remembering it. The problem with that
was her memory of her and Tim was also gone.
If she did not help Bekka, it would be like losing her best friend.
“ She’s your
closest friend here, Aly, “ Tim whispered, “ Don’t you want her to remember you
too? Don’t you want her know every
single one of her friends when she sees them? “
Aly gripped
the blanket in her hands, trying to think through the pain that throbbed in her
body. A single tear slipped down her
cheek as she looked up, “ Yes, Tim. I
will do what I can to get her back. “
