Flies On The Wall

Nigel was angry that he had not gotten the next camera set up in time to witness Mehrunes’ demise. The man was indeed pure filth. Before he had fallen asleep in the cruiser, he related all of the details of his encounter with Bekka to Nigel. He listened but thought of it as disgusting; gods, he was bad but not THAT bad.
Figuring he wouldn’t have that one ready in time at all, he decided to move on to his plan B. That plan consisted of programming the remaining flies and placing them in different spots around the harem. He would leave each of them in their places, hidden from view but where they had a clear observation of the going-ons. By doing it that way, he would increase his chances of finding Maeve.
He looked at the box on the table; three flies remained to be programmed. He had programmed three already and was getting quite good at it; so good, he was getting them done in half the time. The remote had settings for each of the six flies and a setting for them to work as a group. He felt it would be suspicious if they all went at once so he would have to send them one by one.
“ Watch out, Maeve. I’ll get you yet, “ He smiled and finished the fly he was working on.

Tiger’s Eye slunk around the harem, unnoticed and a little depressed. He had only met two of the women and both of them weren’t around. He had stayed in Bekka’s quarters for a short time but it only made him feel worse. What if the charming and plump whip mistress really was dead and where would that leave him?
“ Oooh! “ He growled, slamming his fist into a nearby wall. “ Now what am I going to do? “
He wanted to set out for Bekka but he had been hiding in her room when Tim took off after her. He would have gone too and helped Tim whether he wanted him to or not. Something about his animal side was attracted to her, like she would be able to communicate with him on that level as well. If he had know this was going to happen, he wouldn’t asked Helios to let him come back to this realm.
He had his reasons, though. He had heard someone just like Zerconia (but named Zarconia) was working for an evil entity that was also seeking to exploit dreams. He thought it quite funny that the entity that this Zerconia-like person worked for also made him the master of a circus. He had even gone as far as making subservient replicas of The Amazon Trio, copies that would actually mind him.
Tiger’s Eye found out about this and wanted to atone for his sins. He told Helios he would stop the Zerconia clone for good and infiltrated the circus. After careful observation, he found that the copies were androids and discreetly switched off his doppelganger when no one was looking. For endless days, he stood next to the copies of his friends and acted like a cold submissive robot.
“ I failed you, Helios. I’m sorry! “ Tiger’s Eye sighed mournfully as a single tear slipped down his cheek.
“ How, if I may ask? “ A familiar cocky voice asked, making Tiger’s Eye snap his head up.
“ Hawk’s Eye! How did you get here? “ Tiger’s Eye blinked a couple of times, not sure if he was seeing what he was seeing.
“ We thought we’d come back for you once we took care of Zarconia and his master, “ An almost feminine sounding voice surprised Tiger.
“ Fish’s Eye? “ Tiger faced the androgynous-looking young man.
Hawk patted Tiger’s shoulder; “ Helios said our chances would be greater if we did this as a team so we followed you. We were by your side all along and you just never realized it. “
Tiger growled a little, “ It would have been nice if you let me know that! “
“ Then that would have ruined the surprised! “ Fish said. “ Once you disappeared, we thought something had happened and we took action against Zarconia and the one who hired him. Not right away but we took care of him. “
“ So they are gone? “ Tiger asked.
Fish nodded, “ Yes and we can go back to Helios and Elysium. “
Tiger suddenly felt cold all over. He wanted to go home very badly but didn’t want to leave until he knew something about Bekka. After thinking it over with his friends’ intent gazes upon him, he sighed. “ I’ll go but we have to see someone first…. “

“ You better not be kidding me! “ Ryoko grinned widely, floating upward and moving her legs into a sitting position.
“ No, I’m not. I sense Tenchi and the others are very close, “ Washu typed a few things into her laptop. “ If all goes well, they should be here in… three days. “
“ How are we going to go meet them? If they try to come in, the guards might spot them and attack, “ Ryoko rested her chin in her hand.
“ We’ll just have to go outside and wait. If my calculations are correct, I know exactly where they will probably land and we can meet them there, “ Washu smiled.
A knock on the unseen door interrupted the conversation. “ Who could that be? “ Ryoko floated over and opened the door. “ Oh, Tiger’s Eye. Who are your friends? “
“ Hawk’s Eye and Fish’s Eye, this is Ryoko. Is Washu here? “ Tiger’s voice sounded a bit nervous.
Ryoko stepped aside, “ Right that way. “
“ Who is it? “ Washu stepped forward.
“ Great Washu, I need your help, “ Tiger bowed before her.
Washu giggled, “ Thank you. What kind of help do you need, Tiger? “
“ I need to know if Bekka’s okay. “
Washu shook her head, “ I can’t tell you yes or no. I’m a genius, not a psychic. However, I can try to locate her with my laptop. Do you have anything of hers that I could get some kind of data from? “
Tiger thought for a moment, “ Wait right here! “ He said and bounded from the room. He returned a moment later with her whip. “ I don’t know if this will help or not. “
Washu studied the handle; the leather was worn and slick from years of use. She smiled, “ I can probably extract something from this. I’ll just need to cut a small sample… “ She said, producing a scalpel and cutting a very tiny bit of the leather off. She then summoned her laptop, placing the sample into a receptacle at the bottom of the keyboard.
Everyone watched as she tried to make the sample give up any data it had on Bekka. She looked at Tiger and smiled, “ I have found someone with a similar organic signature but she is quite far away still. I’m not sure if it’s her though. “
“ Not sure? How come? “ Tiger looked at the screen.
“ The woman with the matching signature is carrying a child. If it is indeed Bekka, that would explain why her signature is different than normal, “ Washu placed her hand on her chin, “ But Bekka wasn’t pregnant, was she? “
Tiger blinked, “ I don’t know, “ He said. He then turned to his friends. He looked them both in the eye, “ I’m sorry but I have to stay. I need to know if this woman is okay or not more than ever. “
Hawk’s Eye patted his shoulder, “ I understand. We’ll explain it to Helios and I am sure he’ll understand. We’ll see you when you return, Tiger. “
Tiger nodded, “ Thank you, Hawk. Thank you too Fish. “
Fish’s Eye patted his other shoulder, “ No problem. See you later. We have to go. “
“ Let me at least walk you out, “ Tiger said, looking at Washu. “ Thank you, Washu. “
“ You’re welcome, “ Washu smiled and watched as the three men left.

Nigel guided the final fly into place, positioning it on the ceiling above the double doors he assumed was the entrance to the harem. Once it was secure, he used the remote to flip though each camera, fine-tuning their lenses. “ Let’s see Maeve hide from me now… “ He grinned.

Tenchi sat in one of the odd shaped chairs that were on Ryo-ohki. The trip had been rather uneventful since Ryoko wasn’t along. He knew the trip home would be an adventure though; surprisingly enough, he missed Aeka and Ryoko’s constant bickering. He had grown attached to each of his houseguests and didn’t know if he could ever part with them for good.
Each of them had something that made them special to him. Ryoko was wild and predictable where Aeka was refined (for the most part, anyway). Sasami was like his little sister he never had and Washu sometimes acted like a mother to him. He even adored Mihoshi because she was so ditzy. They all had their own distinct personalities and they seemed to make his life complete.
He chuckled, “ If mom could see me now… “

“ If my calculations are correct, “ Washu and Ryoko made their way towards a spot outside the castle walls. “ They should be landing right about… Hello! What’s this? “
Washu stopped and Ryoko slammed into her. “ MOM! Would you warn me when you are going to stop like… “ Ryoko’s voice trailed off. “ There is a cruiser sitting there! “
“ I can see that! I wonder who’s it could be? “ Washu looked around. She then looked at Ryoko, “ Let’s go check it out! “
“ MOM! We don’t know who could be in there though! “ Ryoko crossed her arms. “ I want to go back to the harem! I’m cold! “
Washu grabbed her arm, “ Quit whining and let’s go! We have to warn them about Ryo-ohki at least. Where they are at is exactly where she’s going to land. “
