McCumber-Croy

This is a picture of Ada & Mr. Croy. Mr. Croy is the 2nd

husband of Ada's. I do not know Ada's maiden name or

her middle name. All I do know is bits & pieces that my

mother has told me, that she can remember. Ada was

married first to a McCumber. They were divorced &

Mr. McCumber remarried & had another family. Mr.

McCumber & Ada were from West Virginal. We also

know that they were both Indian. Ada had four children

by Mr. McCumber.

Ollie McCumber -Calif.

Alva William McCumber Croy-Paris, Texas

(my grand father)

Walter McCumber -Mich.

John McCumber -Iowa

John McCumber was shot & killed in a bar in Iowa

by the FBI in 1948.

Alva William took the Croy name because he deserted

the US Calvary.

After Ada divorced Mr. McCumber she put the four

children in an orphan home.

Ada married again to Mr. Croy. They had four children.

Cassie Croy -Calif.

Ernest Croy -Mo.

Ernest worked for General Motors in Ind. & retired to

Mo.

Emerson Croy -Calif.

He was killed on a motor cycle in Calif.

Lee Roy Croy -Calif.
