I think it is the great the way it is! - Hari
Richard: We just did the music which naturally came to us. Somehow, our music is so soulfully Indian, people seem to appreciate it immediately. Indus Creed, on the other hand, have been a rock and roll band and so, not very Indian. May be, that's why!

John Mclaughlin: Film music has changed, we have had a lot of good music directors like Ilaiyaraja and Rehman who have combined Western Orchestra with Indian melody.
Whom are you answering Hari? Please make it clear. Thanks.:-)
Richard Starkey: We are great pals in real life; we do fight and we win in turns! Fair enough. -Hari
Ono: I kept braids only because something made me feel like it. I feel good about it. And if I still feel good about it by the time we do the next album, you'll recognise me.
Ono Wono: The one with no name was to you. -Hari
A lot of people must be very jealous of your success. How do you cope with the backbiting?
Do you atleast now have the script of the song
'Nila kaikirathu' with you ? Do you remember,
during the marriage when you performed Gazhals,
myself and my sister requested you to sing this
song for which you replyed you do not have the
scripts ? Well..you singing in A.R.Rehmans music,
for a Mani Ratnam film..this is going to be the
TREAT OF MY LIFE. I am sure. By the way I think
Rehman is liking you so much that he is making
you sing some 'dappanguthu song' also. Comments
please.

Your video shows clips that take you two together a long way back. Is that true, or did you meet only recently?
Hey, Kartick, cool it man.
Eeeks..I am sorry for the repeated posts. Got
fumbled up at my end. Sorry guys.
CAN YOU SING FOR US GUYS, PLEEEAAASSSE!
Richard: We turned out to be the thickest of pals on the flight to London when we went to record the album. We had one major fight so far in Oxford at the Manor Studios when Hari insisted he wanted to sing the lead vocal in 'Indian Rain'. And I being the producer overruled him. But, at the end, Hari always has the last word as, being Indian, I'm brought up to respect my elders.
just wondering why you moved form ghazal
to movie music. ofcourse you sound kind of
ghazal when you sing movie songs. do you agree hariharan?
Karthick: I do remember the words of Indira. Rehman and I have really kicked off working together and do melodious songs and also 'dappanguthu'.
Hari, Lezz: How much can you push the Indo-Western fusion element? Ultimately, you need to find your own idiom? Do you think you could do that? I am personally pessimistic about this new wave in Indopop. I think it is going to die if the music companies and guys like you don't really work hard at creating inspirational music. Just winging it won't do!
How old are you guys anway? Lemme guess. Hari is 41, Lezz is 38.
Fusionbuff: We met about six months back -Hari
Richard: In time, we've learnt to ignore!
How old are you guys anway? Lemme guess. Hari is 41, Lezz is 38.
Fusionbuff: We met about six years ago -Hari (sorry guys, it was the error of the typist)
Richard: Hari is 41, Lezz is 36. Totally we are 87.
So, you are acknowledging gripes from bands like Indus Creed. Why, I ask is when I was in India a couple of months ago, I read a letter in some afternoon newspaper cribbing about you guys and praising those guys. As if just being around long enough meant you had to make it!
hariharan you are not responding to my question.
Who is the girl in the video???? Tell us some inside stuff, guys ;-)
Reggie Dwight: I think Colonial music is the most inspiring and refreshing thing that happened in the international scene of music in recent years, and it is very unfortunate for you to not understand the significance of our music. -Hari
Thats great !! Sorry for the repeated posts. Your
song "Thethi paarthal" in Vidyasagar's music was
really fantastic. Do you have any plans of conducting
a show in US ?
Lavanya, just because you share the same gotram as Hari, don't expect a reply!
Elton: This is the first album. Many feathers in the cap within the first 8 months already. Absolute wave of appreciation from the Indian public. Well, if that's the wing, we'll wait for the body in the next album.
hariharan was singing inborn or did you
take classes?
41 + 36 = 77
It is not that I don't appreciate your music. I do. But you can't be repetitive in our business. That would be catastrophic.
that makes me feel special nowhere man! that i share the same
gothram as hariharan
Lavanya: I sound Hariharan when I sing any kind of song. -Hari
Lavanya: What is your gothram? -Hari
FusionBuff: Which girl? The little one? Or the one that's grown-up? Or Whitney Huston?
Just because these guys can sing, does not mean they can add.
hari you are a tamilian right?
Reggie Dwight: How can you talk of being repetitive when we have released only ONE album.
With a name like Hariharan, what could he be? Mizo?
Lavanya: Yes, very much.-Hari
FusionBuff: I've always been bad at maths and now it shows globally! :-(
hari that was in reply to what nowhere man said
Nowhere Man (Thu Nov 7 22:06:05 1996 IST):
Lavanya, just because you share the same gotram as Hari, don't expect a
reply!
The little girl and the older one - tell us the story behind the video guys.
Lavanya: I would be very worried if I was your prof. Jesus, you've got problems
