1. Open new image, width="350" height="350", 16.7 million colors, White. I have chosen
white so as to make it easier to see your work.
Change your foreground color to light pink ["#FFC0C0"] and your background color to dark pink ["#FF8080"]. Add a new layer and name it "tassel." |
|
2.Click on your "selection Tool," open your "Tool Options Pallet" and scroll until you have
"rectangle" selected as the type and antialias checked.
Start at co-ordinates 130 x 250, hold down your left mouse button and drag down and to the right until you have a rectangle shape approx. 80 x 90. The "Marching Ants" appear. Click on the "Flood fill" tool [tilted paint bucket] and in the "Tool Options Pallet" make sure you have "solid color" selected. Left click with your mouse inside the rectangle and flood fill with your light pink color. Deselect. The "Marching Ants" will disappear. |

3. Make sure that you are still on the "Tassel layer."
Click on the "Magic Wand" tool and click in the area outside the rectangle. Go to selections/invert and your rectangle will have the "marching ants" appear around it. Now go to image/effects/blinds. In the "Tool Options Pallet" apply the following settings. width=4; opacity=80; color="#FF8080" [dark pink]; light from left/top=checked. Click OK. You will now have a vertical striped rectangle. Deselect. |
|
4. Click on the "deformation tool" and the
deformation "box" will appear around your rectangle.
Hold down your "control key" and click on top/left small box and drag across until you reach
co-ordinate 150 x 250. You will see that the top/right side moves as well. Click on apply.
You now have your tassels "narrower" at the top. With your "mover tool," position your tassels in the center and 20 pixels from the bottom. It would be advisable to save your work at this point and save often as you progress. Go to file/save as/ name "tassel 1" and save in .psp format. |

5. Add a new layer and name it "circle 1." Click on the "Selections tool" and in the "Tool
Options Pallet" choose "square" and draw a square 150 x 150. The "marching Ants" will appear.
Click on the "Flood Fill Tool" and left click inside the square with left mouse button. This will give you your foreground color of light pink in your square. Go to image/effects/blinds. In the "Tool Options Pallet" apply the same settings as before, EXCEPT to change the width=7. Deselect. |
|
6. Go to image/deformations/circle and a circle with the "Marching Ants" will appear inside
the square. While the circle is still selected, go to edit/copy and then edit/paste as new image.
Move the "new circle image" off to the side of your work area. Now while this image is still activated, go to image/effects/inner bevel and click OK. Now go to edit/copy and press OK. |
