Jace

Full Name: *a girl hangs her head off her bed, her feet propped up on the wall, and talks across the room to Breathless* *blinks at you as you approach, and sticks a hand out* Jacinda Valone. Middle name's Tierney. People call me Jace, for short, though. *nods at you, and continues to dangle until she sees the interview is far from over*
Age: Sixteen, but nearly seventeen. *pulls her blonde head up onto the mattress, then swings her legs around and sits up*
Appearance: *perches on the bed and gives you an appraising once-over with soft blue eyes that hint of mischief, and brushes a strand of wavy, naturally highlighted blonde hair over her shoulder to fall in with the rest behind her back* Perfect in every way. *watches you momentarily and looks as if she means it, then rolls her eyes* Okay, not perfect, but close enough. I'm shorter than I'd like to be. 5'5" actually, but another two inches would be really nice, you know? I'm not complaining, though, because some people here are really short. *isn't thin, but decently curvy instead* *usually wears trousers sewn to fit decently and workshirts, but isn't opposed to skirts or dresses*
Background: *tosses you a comb* Your hair, it's...*pats to a place on her own head, mirroring yours* *watches as you try to find the place, and lightens up as soon as you smooth the spot out* D*mn hats, huh? *shrugs and takes the comb back* I have a good background. Better than most people's around here, that's for sure. No deaths of close family members, no running away, no history of crime, no abusive parents. I guess you mean history, though, right? *smiles some* I'm from Detroit, Michigan. Educated right up 'til a few months ago, when they said I was smart enough and could go to college. It was a fancy school, St. Philip's - you might have heard of it - and I was supposed to go to Keegan's Ladies College with all my friends who weren't running off and getting married - but my father and I had a nice sit-down and, well, I decided to try to make it out in the real world. My grandparents live on Long Island, and I, like everyone else, wanted to give New York a whirl, so *waves a hand* I came here to get a job and start living my life. *raises her eyebrows and smiles a little, neglecting to tell you that she came to find a newspaper to work in, but could barely find a decent place to live, much less a legitimate job, so settled for selling papers instead of working for them "until something better comes along"*
Relationships: *recklessly brushes another strand of curls back and shrugs* I've got a dad who I get along well with, and a mother who I don't get along well with *mostly because they're very much alike* I have three little brothers: Henry, Calvin and Yates 14, 10 and 7. Like I said, I have a set of grandparents on Long Island, and my dad's parents are back in Michigan. I have a lot of friends, but they're all in Detroit *gets along with people fairly well, except for the fact that she's extraordinarily blunt and quite pessimistic and moody* *exhales and leans against the wall* I'm really honest, and a lot of people just don't like to hear the way things are. *or as she percieves them to be* I guess that makes people dislike me some, but that's their problem, right? *Jacinda nods to you as you thank her and then resumes her initial position, dangling her head off the bed*
Other notes: *Jacinda's very opinionated about things, but rarely has good reasons for holding those opinions. She cares deeply about people and can be counted on in tough times, although she's quite guarded about her failures and weaknesses*
