Appearance: Schlomo has black, unruly hair that is somewhat curled and almost always out of place, tan skin, a prominent nose, and very shiny dark brown eyes. He's about average height and is constantly smiling--even when being made fun of (which he often is). He wears a black yamaka. When he talks, it's with a slight yiddish accent--that is, when he talks, which isn't often, since he's a little on the shy side.

Background: Schlomo is a Jewish immigrant from Eastern Europe. He moved into the East Harlem Lodging House when his father died and has been struggling to make it as a newsie ever since.

Relationships: Schlomo is a little on the nerdy side--he doesn't have many friends and certainly not a girlfriend.

Other notes: If you haven't already guessed, he's Jewish...a very sweet boy all around and still a little traumatized by his father's death. He doesn't fit in very well with most of the other newsies, although he does have a few close friends... Quill Hammond being one of them.
