Background Info: Charity's still in Hell and there's
no hope for her return. Simone convinced Kay to pray
for her soul again, and she got it back. Kay has been
comforting Miguel. The two of them are back to
spending time together like they did before Charity,
and Miguel has begun to move on.

"Kay, I have to talk to you. It's very important. Do
you want to have lunch?" Miguel asked his best friend.
"Sure Miguel," Kay answered.
"Meet me at the Book Cafe in a half hour."
"I'll be there."
Miguel hung up the phone. Praying he hadn't been
hallucinating in the mine shaft when Kay said that she
loved him, he went to get ready.

Miguel grabbed a table inside the Book Cafe and waited
for Kay. He imagined every scenario he could with the
way she would react to his news. All he could do was
hope she'd understand. Really, he wished she'd feel
the same. She had to love him. She just had to.
All his questions would be answered soon, because he
looked up as she walked through the door. Realizing
she was looking for him, he called out her name. She
turned her head, saw him, and walked over.
Can this be real

All along this love was right in front of me
"Hi Miguel," Kay said. "What did you want to tell me?"
"Sit down, Kay. This is important, very important,"
Miguel said.
Kay sat down, wondering what was so important. "Okay
Miguel, what is it?"
"Do you remember what happened in the mine shaft? I
know everyone says we were hallucinating, but the more
I think about it, the more I believe it happened.
After everything that's gone on in the last few
months, I'll believe anything. Do you believe
everything that happened down there Kay really
happened?"
"Yeah, I do Miguel, but I don't understand. Where are
you going with this?"
"I need to know for sure if something you said down
there was real, or if I imagined it. Kay, you said you
love me. Did you really mean it? Do you really love
me?"

"Oh boy," Kay thought. She wanted to scream yes, but
something was stopping her. Why was he asking her? Did
he love her? Kay could only hope.
Miguel noticed her hesitance. This means yes, right?
She would have answered right away if she didn't.
Maybe she was trying to avoid hurting me. That's
probably why she didn't answer. All these thoughts
were running through his mind.
"Miguel, yes. Yes I said that, and yes, I meant it,"
Kay finally answered. She knew she took a huge risk
and now she had to wait for his response.

Miguel was trying to process the information. He had
hoped he was right, and now he knew he was. "She loves
me. She truly loves me," he thought.
Looking up, he saw her pleading with him to say
something. "Miguel...," Kay started to say. She was
cut off by Miguel.
"Kay, you're my best friend. We've been spending a lot
of time together lately. You're the only one who's
been able to take my mind off Charity; the only one
who's helped me move on. You've also made me see
something I never knew was there, something right in
front of me," Miguel said.
"I don't get it Miguel. What are you saying?"
"Kay, I love you."
"You love me."
"Yes, I love you."
"You LOVE me. I mean really love me."
"Yes, I really love you. Kay Bennett, I love you. I
love you, I LOVE you, I LOVE you!" Miguel shouted as
he pulled her in for a kiss.
